OKC was going to "reset" by trading Westbrook and got CP3 because they are basically the only two players in the league with that contract. Houston gives up picks and goes into "win now" mode.

OKC was 30 secs away from eliminating and destroying Houston. The thought of it alone brings a smile to my face. Instead, James Harden makes a leap as a player (huge plays in the last minute) and closes it out. Harden deserves a ton of credit but I can't say this is the most "fun" outcome of the series. Thrilling game regardless.

I'll still enjoy eliminating the Rockets though

That was excruciating to watch. Flopalicious nonsense. And then CP3 choking again as he does. Harden almost out choked him but then he got that game saving block. Ugh, I hate Houston so much.

The perfect playoff run. Portland, Houston, LAC and C Bags. Lakers win those series and it's historic. Adding the COV to that, even more...

And I wont put an asterisk next to it at all. If we lose the championship I won't put an asterisk next to it, and it will count for the Clippers or the C Bags or whoever. I cannot see that winning against Portland, Houston, Clippers and C Bags in best of seven series is not a championship. We discarded a few meaningless regular season games (note we still got the hardest eighth seeds of the teams on the table due to the bubble rules they made up), and are playing most of the series without a hard earned home advantage, so no I think this asterisk distinction is pointless and almost like we are hedging against the chance we don't win so we can discount the season.

We are missing Bradley and potentially every team has some loss or disadvantage. You better believe if Kobe would have won this ring, he would have counted it as number six, and not cut it in half as a partial ring or put a diamond studded asterisk on it. My only regret is that if we do win it, we have not had the games in Staple center for Jack and the other less famous but still true fans to watch, and of course a Kobe Bean Bryant fresh from his hall of fame speech can't be there to see this win. And I am guessing no parade anytime soon too.

I think Caron Butler said this on sportsnet, but I can be mistaken. He said something to the effect of, "I'm not putting an asterisk next to this season, I'm putting a plus sign next to it." He explained how he hadn't gone through anything this difficult in his whole career, and commended the guys for getting it done in these conditions. I tend to agree with him.

OK, abeer. Do your thing. Tell us exactly how the Rockets are going to sweep us and run us out of the building with an average margin of victory of 30 points. Come hard with the reverse-jinx.

No way this season should have an asterisk. Not after a full playoffs. Not after all the playoff contenders were given a chance. What one advantage would this scenario give to a winning team but not all the other teams?

I’m just trying to start crap.

I hope Lebron improves his Finals winning percentage if he gets there.

If he keeps losing, his hopes of being considered GOAT continue to decline.

no problem: houston is more vulnerable against teams who can shoot. they are built to beat up on non-shooting teams like ours. they will pack the paint unapologetically and we won't make them pay for it. meanwhile, our good defense is built to play against teams that are trying to score in sensible ways, as opposed to just jacking up a zillion threes. mcgee and howard won't be able to play, and our guards are talented enough to fill those minutes.

    death.

    I agree with you!

I say for those who think this doesn't count, why the F are you even watching? Go play some computer games. I think the ONLY team who is going to put a asterisk next to this season is going to be the Milwaukee Bucks. Since this will be the season that destroys the franchise for the next 20 years.

For the rest of us, this has been an even tougher year than normal. Whoever comes out of this thing on top, is going to earn it. This is the most parity in the league that I have seen in quite some time.

I like our chances and nothing is going to diminish our victory, should we win it all. This would be the ring that ties us with the C Bags, you can bet if they win it, they are going to rub it in our faces that they are up two now!!

Have some cajones guys, It's like you are falling victim to the mentality that it will be nothing if you win it but will have to eat crow if you lose it. F that!!!

    Winners talks, losers walk!!!
