Kizer has the physical tools. He was put into a tough situation as a rookie and hasn't really had reps since then. It surely hasn't translated. He was clutch and a joy to watch at Notre Dame.

    IN
    Keelan Doss re-signed
    De-Mornay Pierson-El

    OUT
    Te'Von Coney

I haven't seen anything official on Panasiuk yet.

Devontae Booker looks like a solid backup. He's almost certainly better than anyone on roster other than Jacobs, Richard, and Bowden.

Oops. Lost myself and posted in the Oakland thread by accident yesterday.

Big move for Las Vegas. The Raiders have signed CB Prince Amukamara.
He was the 43rd rated CB at PFF last season, but I know that grade can be polarizing, so I did some digging. Bears fans mostly liked him, his effort, and his leadership. Without a pass rush, they said he was exposed, but his grades against the pass have actually been pretty darn good the past three years. He's definitely the most accomplished CB on roster now, and he has a shot at starting early. But even if he doesn't, what a great depth acquisition.

Flashback 2018: On Khalil Mack Trade:

    David Carr: No way!
    Prince Amukamara: Yeah way!

Amukamara now to Raiders...oh the irony. :)

My take: he starts opposite Mullen. Arnette should spell either one and worked in judiciously...

    - I keep forgetting Agholor is on the team.
    - Eberle should make Carlson sweat or maybe even take over.
    - Booker should be a good sub for Jacobs. @pound4pound was repping the guy years back...
    - watched the Browns - Raiders 2018 game. Some DB named Randall was all over the place. Did get burned by Cook on a TD though.
    - same game Parker subs in for Penn who got hurt and proceeded to give up pressures and a pair of drive killing sacks.

Parker has been disappointing, for sure.

@sirronstuff Maybe you're right. I just posted in the other one by accident.

Nick O'Leary is on the Reserve/NFI list.
    Paul Butler is back.

    From SI's Albert Breer mailbag...

From $1money (@SOhlhaut): Who is the most slept-on 2020 squad?

Good question, money, and we’ll wrap it up there—give me the Las Vegas Raiders. That 2019 draft class should only get better, Jon Gruden has another option at quarterback now in Marcus Mariota, should he sour further on Derek Carr, and the team is very well-fortified along the lines of scrimmage, which is usually a key for teams that do take big, sudden leaps forward.

Should the Chiefs be worried in the AFC West? Maybe not. But I don’t think the 6-4 start last year was a mirage. The Raiders will be plenty competitive in 2020, and it wouldn’t shock me if they wind up with one of the AFC’s (remember) three wild cards.

    GONE
    WR Siaosi Mariner
    DE Ade Aruna
    DB Jordan Brown
    TE Paul Butler
    K Dominik Eberle
    C Erik Magnuson
    LS Liam McCullough
    WR Anthony Ratliff-Williams
    LB Marquel Lee
    DT PJ Hall

    ADDED
    G Jordan Roos

    OPT OUT

WR Williams torn labrum... Not good since we need some experience out there. Edwards, his eventual replacement will now get reps assuming Williams is shelved though reports are that he will play through it.

    IN
    RB Theo Riddick
    LB Kyle Emanuel
    DE Chris Smith

    OUT
    DB Ken Crawley
    DE Nick Usher
    LB Bryce Hager
    RB William Stanback

Riddick has been a consistent pass catcher, with 50+ grabs in each of the last four seasons in which he has played. He has posted a PFF grade of 70+ in 2016, 2017, and 2018; and he had an 82 in 2015. He's a solid add to the passing game if healthy.

Kyle Emanuel is pretty intriguing. He missed last season, but he had started 29 games in the three seasons leading up to 2019. He posted PFF grades as low as 54 and as high as 74 from 2016 to 2018.

Chris Smith has a lot of experience, suiting up for 60 games in his career and 41 over the last three. He had 9 QB hits in 2017, along with 3 sacks, but he's touted as a run defender.

I still think we need a back capable of churning out the tough yards so we don't overuse Jacobs and I thought of Stanback specifically for that purpose as well as Hill for that matter. Oh well...

    Linebacker Upgrades
The Raiders entered 2019 with Brandon Marshall (64.2), Marquell Lee (62.4), Tahir Whitehead (56.6), Nicholas Morrow (51.5), and Vontaze Burfict (47.9) as the only LBs who qualified for grades at PFF. None of them were ranked higher than Marshall's 48th position, and he fizzled out with injuries.

The 2020 group looks positively stunning by comparison. Cory Littleton (78.9), Nick Kwiatkoski (72.6), and Raekwon McMillan (63.9), are all likely graded higher than any starter from last season. Wilber, Muse, Morrow, and newcomer Javin White should provide excellent depth. It's perhaps the position most in need of an upgrade, and they should be able to cover as well as play strong against the run.

They have Smith and Booker on roster, but I'm not sure either is the answer.

McMillan was highly regarded I believe coming out of college but has coverage issues. Monitoring the Williams situation. Terrible that he is hampered.

It's a passing League now so a third and three or two yards is considered a throwing down. Shame that Warren kid did not work out. He definitely fits the bill. Maybe Jacobs is still considered an option on situations like that. We do have a massive offensive line so...
