I'd volunteer to pick up the food for another team repping their jersey all the while talking smack how the Magic is a pathetic squad? Too much...? :)

The NBA players run the risk of seeming ungrateful and tone deaf (spoiled) considering the seismic economic impact of COVID. That being said the instagram and tweets are consistent with what most people do when they don't get everything their way.

That being said, aside from the huge amount of money Disney is getting here, they had a chance for a huge saturation of media attention. It would seem that Disney should have went all out to impress to over cater for expectations, so NBA players would have no choice but to rave about the meals and service etc. I would say the BLANKET is like the brown M & M's being requested to be removed from Van Halens tour rider. If you can't get a blanket right and then have an undersized NBA blanket as a replacement it is endemic of a lack of care, concern and the pandering that this place is meant to provide as a bubble for an important sporting event and a salve for the loss of friends family and freedom that the NBA stars will endure. It just wasn't a good look and Disney dropped the ball. First impressions count.

My optimism for this bubble restart goes back and forth constantly, currently I feel like it’s going to make players drop out one by one until it’s an unwatchable mess.

Apparently Westbrook tested positive before traveling to Orlando though, and hasn't yet joined the team. So while my optimism is also waning, at least this isn't an instance of a player testing positive INSIDE the bubble, which would be disastrous.

Ohh I see, that’s a pretty important detail left out of all the tweets I saw on this. I assumed he had tested positive in the bubble.

Hate to see it. That beard catches 1000% more cv-19 bugs out of the air. Take note LeBron.

So far there is only one source reporting this, and it's not a publication I've ever heard of. Assume this is fake until a real journalist confirms it.

if this fails, it'll be because the players themselves screwed it up by going out to get food or sneaking girls into the bubble

Is it catching anyone else's attention, knowing how relatively easy it is in our own lives, to stay free of CV-19 with common sense and simple masks ........ that there are certainly different levels of motivation for players on different teams? I have to guess the FO and Lebron and AD and entire team were all connected on line pumping each other up and making the commitment to stay heathy to give themselves a chance to win a ring. This has to be burning inside Lebron and AD being the superstars looked to .... to deliver a championship. Just like with all of the great leaders and players in our incredible history. The players and teams not having done that coming in or taking the "Bubble" seriously .... well I guess you can understand it. Not cool jeopardizing other players like that though if they personally didn't have the commitment.

TBH I have been thinking that the faster the non-competing teams left over are eliminated the better. The less people in the bubble the better, and you hit the nail on the head when it comes too people with no buy-in and nothing to lose by breaking the rules being a risk and a distraction.
