Where’s @BangBoomPow? He mentioned in GT near the end that he noticed Clippersnake gimping somewhat on the floor again like he was hurting. Please tell us more what you saw?
I think Kawhi will miss Lowry in the playoffs. He took all the credit for that Raptor championship but that team carried him as much as he carried them. Right now, the Clips have no play makers, starting or reserve and Kawhi by necessity also has to do it.
Couple things: - LBJ was the best player in the floor. - AD is a superstar - Bradley was sensational. - Kuz "played like a vet." - Morris was probably the best buyout get on the market. In a 7 game series, Kuz and Green can't go 0-7. Vogel has to pull the leash the moment he recognizes Rondo doesn't have it. The Lakers played well, though. As Kuz said, "a playoff series would be epic,".
if they want to win a 7 game series against LAC they need guys like bradley, KCP, kuzma, green, etc to step it up like bradley did yesterday they can't rely on just lebron and AD against the clips
I think what the Clippers faulted at were getting guys who all need in the ball in their hands to be their best. Marcus, Reggie, Lou. While one has the ball, the other just stands around. Guess this is where we have to appreciate Kuz for approaching the game without the ball in his hands to be effective. Oh well. :Kiddspilldrink:
This is ironic and hilarious at the same time considering the mountain of criticism heaped from all the nay sayers about Bron being mostly the only reliable shot creator with the ball. Well how about that genius Clippers roster construction and all their assets lost that could have helped gimpy load managing Clippersnake from having to do most of it. Better Lebron than breaking down Kawhi.
marcus morris isn't going to miss every shot he takes either the fact that he didn't score a single point and they were still in it shows just how stacked they are
Yeah Floppers moves at the deadline suggest they want to win it all by outscoring opponents, so is its closing lineup yesterday . It's not happening.
Kawhi wanted nothing to do with LeBron. Kawhi can make things tough on LeBron for one game. Can he do it for seven games and stay healthy? Kawhi wasn't very good in the Finals vs the Warriors. This narrative that he dominated the Warriors is laughable considering the Warriors did not have KD and Klay was hobbled for the series. Paul George played great on Sunday but he's had a history of playing poorly in big games. Can you count on him to give you 4/7 really good games? To me, the difference-makers for the Clippers will be Harrell and Lou. If these two don't play great, the Clippers won't beat us. But we need a consistent 3/4th option player. AD and LeBron are absolute monsters but other guys will have to be able to contribute - particularly when LeBron gets his rest and we need to either keep the lead or try to not go in a complete spiral and LAC take the momentum. I thought Rondo played well with LeBron on the bench. If he can do that, we are fine.
The game is Over. L.A. Clippers have signed free agent Joakim Noah, it was announced today by President of Basketball Operations, Lawrence Frank. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released. “Joakim is a relentless competitor and a proven winner,” said Frank. “His experience, acumen and toughness fit well in our locker room.”
I wonder if that is the reported 10 day contract or if they just went ahead after their loss yesterday and signed him for rest of the season?
Clips have a lot of insurance up and down the roster, but it doesn’t fit nicely. Ours fits nicely but is very susceptible to a key loss—even non-star loss. neither team can sustain a loss of either of its top two, but we can less afford to handle a loss of say, Caruso or kcp or something. Whereas they’ve got three of each, it seems.
