they have a better owner. not sure about the FO part. btw, had we traded two players and a 1st for marcus morris, then the clippers signed markieff for nothing, some people here would be skewering our FO. not a peep, though. hail, clippers.
That was a good comeback about Marcus Morris but I also have to say that's like praising someone who's living from paycheck to paycheck for not spending money. The key is not spending stupidly when you have the money... not praising someone for using restraint when you have no other alternative. Rob made the right no call as he has most calls since the big trade... but it's not like we have assets to blow anymore
Nor do the f****** Clippers after bringing in PG so they could sign KL. Yet they gave up still more than we did for a "Morris". Not even the best Morris looking at the breakdown of their skills. What's your point? You conveniently always leave out that the Lakers took a swing, they had prepared for ..... in spite of your Leonard was a half a**ed, last minute effort stupid take ..... to signing AD AND Leonard this summer. They almost succeeded.
Clippers FO is better than ours. And they have a better team. Say what you want, but they are legit. And will likely kick our a** this weekend.
the whole "we're not hollywood," "streetlights over spotlights" thing makes zero sense it would make sense if the clippers were some small market team that never spent a dime on players and somehow ended up having success using players that other teams threw away and building through the draft. think the oakland a's for example. and compare them to the sf giants the clippers signed one of the best players in the world this offseason and traded for another superstar. since then, they've become the most stacked team in the NBA, even moreso than the hollywood, glitz and glam lakers. and i've been living in LA for a few years now. i know plenty of people who are living paycheck to paycheck, working a couple jobs, etc and none of them are clippers fans. but sure, keep portraying yourselves as the blue collar team lol
Most blue collar types I know are Laker fans. Clipper fans are really fans of other teams that moved to LA and whose previous favorite team got their butts kicked by the real LA team for years. So basically Clipper "fans" are LA transplant Laker haters.
Heart attack time for someone. Maybe they're "scrambling" for more size? Who did they let go this time or was there still a slot open perpetually for them as seems to be the case?
