Bron and AD will have to be way better in the 4th against the Floppers ... and our role players will have to hit open shots at a decent rate .

Their defensive strategy is actually counting on us to miss tons of open shots .

Acting like we don't stand a chance is quite a reach

to me, the point is that if we don't stand a chance--if the gap is that wide--then we've been out of it since kawhi made his decision. there's absolutely nothing that could have happened since that time to make up a gap that big. so what are we whining about?

if the gap isn't that big, then what are we whining about?

i like that we're 5 games up on them with 20 to play, and that to catch us, they'll probably have to abandon the vaunted load management scheme. i like that we're on pace to win 60 games after years of losing nearly 60 games. and i actually think that, long-term, one anthony davis is better than a kawhi and a paul george.

the clippers are the better team this year. they're totally stacked. but they're one of only one or two teams who can claim that. i don't see how that's the end of the world or worthy of consistent scorn and ridicule.

It's because it's the other team in LA , it would hurt as a fan to lose to them and see them winning it all .( as they based their whole marketing strategy on discrediting the Lakers , LA our way blah blah blah , as Lakers fans we just want to shut them up)

    Simple as that .

If it were another team ( not named Boston) , we would care a lot less .

But yeah let's play the postseason before whining

I think we have a puncher's chance... but if we don't win the title... or at least make a strong run... we could have developed our assets and still signed AD in the summer. If we didn't want to sign Ingram or Ball.. we could have traded one of them for a high draft pick and we'd still be developing our other cheap youngsters to play alongside AD.

And yes, I get the bird in the hand theory... but if Klutch had so much sway over AD... I think they could have convinced him to come next year

The whole point of bringing AD now was to make a title run... it wasn't about a moral victory. We've already won the moral victory race if your standard is being merely competitive.

So yes I want us to win a title... you all can yell at me all you want... but there was no point bringing him here this year just to make a good showing.

No way to win a title this year your way and nothing but your Ingram and Ball and Hart(?) obsessions and guesses and hypotheticals going forward.

DIdn't watch the Houston vs Clippers game: was Houston just off or was it due to the Clippers D? Lot of Houston type felt these were shots they usually make

Ask yourself why I've liked or not complained about 90% of the moves this front office has made since Rob took over.

Didn't complain about signing Danny Green (although I thought we spent too much)
    Didn't complain about signing KCP
    Was fine with signing JaVale
Was very happy about signing Dwight
    Was happy about signing Boogie
    Was happy about signing Daniels
    Was happy about signing Cook
Was happy about signing Rondo (still believe he will provide good moments during the playoffs)
    Was ecstatic about signing Caruso
    Was meh on signing Dudley
    Was meh on signing Waiters

Some act like I have an agenda against the team... when nearly every move they make I support.

I just don't like the price on the one move... doesn't make me a hater

yeah, waiting out the FA has gone so incredibly well in the past. don't see why we wouldn't go full bore after that one again.

i mean, you're definitely an AD hater. the amount of time you've spent complaining about the price of a top 5 nba player who is 26 years old and plays for our 1st place team kind of says it all.

when lebron's done, i'm fully confident we can get ingram, ball, hart, and jackson hayes level players without much trouble. we wouldn't be able to get a superstar just entering his prime, though.

I said nothing about you having an agenda "against" the team or us winning or you being a hater.

Fair enough... but I meant in general.

I liked the LBJ signing when it happened as well

Not an AD hater... I'm a hater of the price we paid for AD.

One day, hopefully this subtle difference will sink in with you
