    I doubt the Pels win more than 1 game in the series against the Lakers if it comes to that this season. Not worried at all.

    If we lose to any 8 seed, we didn’t deserve to win.
    If a LeBron and A.D. team lose to a rookie Zion Williamson, we weren’t going to win anything anyways

    Ben Simmons injury update: 76ers star reportedly has nerve impingement in back, to be reevaluated in two weeks
    Sixers game should be blowout .Embid and Simmons both injured and even if Embid will play he is not going to be 100 %

    Great second half last night, particularly the third quarter when we locked down on D and just blew them the heck out of their own building. Nice to get a 30 point win without Lebron and with AD sitting the whole fourth.

    That's 18 straight road wins vs. the Western Conference for us. Unreal!

    SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — With LeBron James sidelined, Anthony Davis knew he had to do a little more — everybody had to do a little more to pick up the slack.

    Davis had 23 points and six rebounds in three quarters and the Los Angeles Lakers won their seventh straight game and NBA-record 18th in a row on the road against the Western Conference, beating the injury-plagued Golden State Warriors 116-86 on Thursday night without King James.

    It meant taking better care of the ball in the second half and bringing energy on both ends.

    “LeBron, when he's out, it's taking away a lot of things that we do, so it's on all of us to make sure we kind of fill those voids, and I think we did that tonight,” Davis said.

    Rajon Rondo started in place of James and contributed 12 points and six assists as Los Angeles turned it into a rout with a 40-17 third quarter. James sat out because of recurring soreness in his troublesome left groin.

    Davis shot 6 for 13, made 10 of 12 free throws and also had a pair of blocked shots and steals for the Lakers, whose 12 first-half turnovers allowed the Warriors to keep it close. Kyle Kuzma added 18 points off the bench.

    Rookie Eric Paschall scored 23 points off the bench for his 11th 20-point game and Jordan Poole had 16 in the Warriors’ eighth straight loss both overall and at home in new Chase Center. Poole limped off with 5:44 remaining in the third after rolling his right ankle then later returned after getting it re-taped — but it briefly left Golden State with eight available players, two of those on 10-day deals.

    Golden State guard Ky Bowman went down with 1:11 to play and was helped off.

    Golden State forward Draymond Green's return from a two-game absence with a bruise in his right pelvic area was a short one: He was ejected 5:45 before halftime on his second technical just 11 seconds after his first at 5:56.

    Golden State also missed Andrew Wiggins, a late scratch with spasms in his upper back. The Warriors hung tough early but couldn't stay with the Lakers as they did in Los Angeles' 125-120 win here Feb. 8.

    Them and a full strength Clipper team seem really scary

    The Lakers are really good but I'd out them at third in this top tier. Kuzma regressing really makes a difference in this rarified air where margin of error is going to be really thin

    Some daydreaming optimism for you folks. There might be a stroke of genius regarding the Caruso/Rondo minutes balance. I want to believe that Vogel is saving his best stuff for the playoffs, and that includes limiting Caruso's minutes. He DID call him his secret weapon after all.

    Meanwhile, Rondo gets minutes and is looks pretty benchable on most nights. Maddening to most fans, especially around here. The optimist in me regards Uninterested-Regular-Season-Rondo as a decoy of sorts. But as we hide Caruso (which is becoming a badly kept secret), Engaged-Playoff-Rondo will emerge. Many have given up on Playoff-Rondo, but there is some evidence from this season that shows he can still swing entire games when he's interested. I don't expect Rondo to be a force for the entire post season. But I would not surprised at all if he swings a couple games in the early rounds, and lord willing, the finals. He gets up for big games. This will simultaneously happen as the Bald Eagle rises. Can't wait for the playoffs.

    This is their year.

    If the Lakers beat them, this will be on par with LeBron's Cavs beating the 73 win Warriors IMHO. The average margin of victory this year for the Bucks is all time great levels. And Giannis is at only 30 minutes a game putting up absolutely absurd stats.

    If they lose, I will be absolutely shocked. If we win, I will be super impressed. But if we can't get our role players like Green and our snipers playing worth a crap, and if we keep trotting Rondo out for extended minutes, I'm not feeling at all confident. The Bucks are not searching the scrap heap for their playoff push, and we are hoping to find a miracle.

    Two different places even though we are both first in our respective conferences.

    I agree with you. I expect the Bucks to win it all this year. Only way we beat them is if all our shooters get hot at the same time for 4 games and their better shooters go cold.

    I honestly don’t see us, or the Clips, beating them this year. They are really in the zone right now. They are not just winning, they are crushing good teams on a regular basis.

    june's a ways from here. i think if healthy, the clips beat the bucks. kawhi son-ed giannis last year, and i'm not sure what's changed. the bucks should murder houston. i think we'd give them more of a series than others think, though.

    One year has passed. Giannis is the best player in the league, has finals experience now and his team is build perfectly around him. Kawhi is one year older and more calcified than he was. Clips are deep, but not as "gelled" as the Deers.

    Giannis has never made the Finals but I agree. He's gotten significantly better at shooting the ball anywhere outside the paint.

    they gotta show me, giannis and all--you trust bledsoe in the playoffs, for example?

    anyway, if we don't win, that's who i'd want among realistic contenders. i like that team.
