LOL like defensive player of the year, rim protecting savant AD has already proved he is, and staying healthy with his weight? It’s all a crapshoot with your hopes and druthers more than what is actually happening in real time.

He might not be able to stay on the floor though.

Good win against the C's but i'm annoyed that we almost lost at home to a Kemba-less C Bags team. Yeah maybe that allowed Tatum to go off or maybe htey're better with Smart out there as he's a better defender and they can switch everything - but it's disheartening to see us struggle so mightily against a short-handed C's team.

Did AD steal your girl or something? You seriously have an almost weird amount of hatred for him. Reading your comments... it sounds like you are actually a Pelicans fan. I mean, I have not read anything good come from you when it comes to AD but you spend so much time applauding the New Orleans Pelicans. What's the situation here? Does anyone else think this guy is secretly a Pelicans fan?

Yes, using your incredible deductive reasoning skills you have solved the puzzle.

AD took my girl, soon after I came back from my homeland in Arabia and settled in New Orleans.

I vowed that day that I would find a small forum and dedicate hours of posts to hoodwink 20 people into thinking the AD trade was bad.

I'd spend hours studying Lakers history so I can recreate a little bit of what a fan might think like... yet still find a way to pass my agenda past these people.

But now you have caught me... and I don't know what to do.

With genius detective skills like this, it's a wonder you aren't profiling for the FBI.

    Bravo.

If you can't figure it out by now, then you probably shouldn't be telling people on this forum how to think

i liked it because it was funny.

but you gotta admit it's also funny that a relative newcomer thinks you're a pels fan trolling the board. i know you're not, actually, but i'd TOTALLY forgive someone who thought that.

Not a day to be sniping at each other.

My only complaints today are 04 and 08. Would have been amazing to see Kobe with 7 rings.

04 sucked because I thought we had it if Malone was healthy. We were outclassed in 08, even though it’s one of my very favorite laker seasons, tbh.

with a healthy malone they might've been able to win another game or two but they weren't beating detroit

that pistons team was so ridiculously good on defense

Especially 08. Due to who the opponent was.

I’ll say again, guys loved Ball, Ingram, etc and many of us including myself and abeer questioned the front office for literally years.

The board at this point more reflects guys acknowledging that those boats have simply sailed and rallying around the people who are here, flaws and all.

and for everything that’s gone right and wrong, we’re a legit championship contender. After several lottery years, the forum is taking that and running with it.

I don’t think we’re the favorites but we certainly have a legit shot. And any casual glance at my post history will show I’m not big on Rob, but we’ve got two legit superstars and will be in a position to add more to the team this summer should we fall short.

and you know what, after literally the worst stretch of play in Laker history a lot of us are willing to take that.

    04 and 08 were logical/deserved losses though .

The only regret was the G4 meltdown in 08 but C Bags were the better team .
I don't think we'll have win it all even with a G4 win

As we have lost 15 Finals , I'm sure some left bigger regrets than these 2 ( was too young or not born to witness them though)

It wasn't just Malone. Horace Grant (our backup pf) got hurt too. We were playing our 3rd stringer (Slava) against Sheed. Not to mention the Kobe/Shaq fued was near it's apex during that series.

disagree strongly. their whole defensive scheme was predicated on having a non-player at the 4 on our end. malone would have feasted like he did in the regular season, forcing them to play kobe straight up on the perimeter. game over. not sure it would have been close, tbh. that lakers team was VERY good when everyone was on the floor--like .850+ winning %, iirc.

right. slava medvenko. dude was out of the league in what, two years after that? there's subpar role players, and there's being forced to play non-nba players for heavy minutes in the nba finals.
