they didn't seem nearly as happy with the durant titles as they did with the pre-durant title. but tbh, i think i'd celebrate the same regardless. if we got it after what kawhi did to us (and all the clips media bluster), it would be pretty extra enjoyable, though.
Lou said he wants the parade even more to happen because it's the first time the champion will get booed during it
So who were the players again they traded away or released for Morris and Jackson? Did they lose anything there that might come back to bite them?
I still think Harkless creates more trouble on defense for Lebron than Morris. Lebron doesn’t have as much elevation in traffic as he used to and struggles with long, athletic guys at times. Morris has some added strength, but not enough to really bother Lebron. His shooting may outweigh that loss, but I could see it potentially costing them in certain matchups.
the lakers haven't made the playoffs since 2013 crazy to think there's a whole generation of kids out there who have grown up with the clippers as LA's best team and the lakers as a cellar dwellar
he's saying morris for harkless was offense for defense, i think. and that's probably accurate. i don't know. i'd like to poke holes, but the clips have a good squad. i'm not sure their moves moved the needle, but that's not really an important point. all of this is insurance. but you can only play 5 at a time and playoff rotations only go 8 deep. and let's be honest, if leonard or george or williams go down, jackson and morris aren't going to be able to just step in. so yeah, they added talent and didn't lose much. but i'm not sure any of that cracks the rotation. if it does, i'm not sure the rotation is better. they were good before; they're good now. would have been nice for us to add someone substantive, as we actually DO have holes at it stands.
Did 2 go out for Morris? Just wondering who else they gave up if any good, to bring in Jackson now too?
