LeBron looked old & gassed at certain points.

Other than that, not much to complain about.

No Ayton, no Baynes, no Kaminsky, no Saric... Booker and Oubre couldn't hit the broad side of a barn... (worst game I've ever seen Booker play) and yet still they were close to us most of the game.

It was good to get the win but please let's not act like this was any sort of an accomplishment.

This is with Rondo possessed by the ghost of Byron Scott.

Someone in game time brought up my Ben Wallace comment again.

Well, even Ben Wallace could have scored against this small ball lineup which was not only short but thin... (no thick PJ to slow anyone down in the paint)

It's good we are 40-12... in good position to win over 60 games... but this team was tailor made for us to destroy and we kept them letting them back in the game until the very end

Well, KCP is clean shaven and not flashy. Once he grows a full beard (@sirronstuff Photoshop, please!), he'll get calls too.

    Lmao. This post was funny.

Right next to the 24 & 8 next to Kobe, we're going to put a nice Pacific West Banner right near it.

I still think we win Denver, though.

So now leading the entire game by double digits is “close” and winning by 25 isn’t a blowout. Last 3 weeks the Suns have beaten the C Bags, Mavs, Spurs, and Rockets. Not saying they’re good, but now we’re complaining about “only” a 25 point win.

Thanks for some comedy today guys.

Dang I didn’t even need to post my joke comment, this is better than anything I could do out of parody.

You act as though if AD, Dwight, JaVale were out and they were at full strength and we somehow lost... that you all wouldn't point that out.

I was glad we won... I'm just saying with their four big man out, there's no point in crowing about anything.

On to the next game... hope we beat Denver.

    Don't even bother addressing them

I am done with it myself.

What you do is make a mental note of this; so in May when they're crying about losing, you can remind them of this great regular season win & all the mistakes we made along the process to not maximize LBJ and ADs chances.

    Back to LG, I go...

I feel like this is mostly a fair assessment, and I’m only posting it here because it might be true

some things one does not joke about

    :ADnaughty:

While there is a small crowd of people that can see only the negative in spite of a lot of positive, there is also a group on the site that is very insulting to those who point out flaws in our team and our weaknesses. It needs to stop.

I think it might have to be due to dealing with extreme views on both sides, but it does seem like there is a better way to handle those discussions than what’s been going on.

if I have contributed to the negativity on either side, I would like to apologize to my fellow forum members. Negativity has changed the vibe around here lately, and that’s a little sad. I wonder how much it has to do with us losing Kobe vs our actual season.

We’re better than that though. It’s unacceptable to lose members over a very short season of negativity or how the site deals with some members being negative. On no particular day does going to LG sound like a legitimate option I’d like to consider.

if a long time favorite member on the site considers that an option that they must consider, I think we need to evaluate how we are doing things there.

Hopefully those that are down on the Lakers roster construction right now can ease up on the need to post it in every thread and bash the front office at every turn. We did just go from being a dumpster fire for 7 years to currently first in the West. Yes we have an imperfect team. Yes we have a short window with this roster to succeed. Yes there is so much room for improvement, but there is also a lot to be happy about.

AND hopefully those who are taking a strong stance against those who are currently very unhappy can do so with a less mocking and condescending tone. It’s funny once or twice if it’s done in the right light, but it’s really not funny anymore.

i’m probably as guilty as anyone on both sides, and for that I apologize to contributing to any negativity.

    But going to LG?

    :Vogelshocked:

    homie don’t play that

That's a great way to earn respect and be liked in general... This kind of behavior would never lead up to a suspension or a ban on any forum, I'm sure. But hey, as you said, you can always try it on LG.

Quick edit: my image was too big for my liking. But the point still stands.

I appreciate the heartfelt effort behind this post. However, the reality is that LVBD is straight out trolling the forum recently. When you start making a personal List titled "I told all of you it was Doomsday, but you wouldn't listen!" with the intention of calling everyone out in May, you have officially morphed into a troll. I hope he snaps out of it and chooses to stay, but if he hunkers down in his bomb shelter and ends up on LG, at least he will have Vas as company.

That's definitely one perspective, but so is seeing the unusual lack of tolerance I'm witnessing on the site recently. (Not pointed at anyone in particular, and nor am I innocent of not participating) Do we really need to constantly mock everyone who is down on the construction of the roster or team play? It's not a good look for either side.

All that being said, I don't envy being in your shoes. I know you guys always have the big picture in mind, and I try to be highly respectful of that. The Mod staff here is second to none. You see things others don't/can't between the whole moderator squad. I'm not on here all the time, but the Mod team usually will have someone present to see anything going on. You guys knows things.

I just don't like seeing bickering between long time members when we all have the same goal. It just feels unnecessary and pointless, and it's sucking a bit of the joy out of what should be a great positive in life. Let's just all have a beer and talk about our favorite team. I blame Trump for this tbh.

When you have to tell literally only one or two other members not to address “them” as if them is trolls, and like %95 of the forum is “them”, you probably need to look in the mirror instead. I got a kick out of this, because the idea that I’m trolling because I’d like to see this place get back to a happy medium where you can still enjoy the actual games going on and celebrate the roster we have while at the same time acknowledging our flaws in a reasonable and balanced manner, is so backward it’s funny. I’m a troll because I want to enjoy this first winning season in 6 years in the moment and am more than a little tired of having to hear from posters daily who have like %80 of their posts here exclusively in the “trades/free agency” thread repeat the same trade and buyout ideas over and over, spilling into other threads and even game time chat during games. But sure, head over to the sea of bridge-jumpers and chicken littles that is LG, shout your despair and feel it echoed back, get that validation. Maybe come back and let us know how good it felt to be right that we sucked in February, how you called it a season then and we should have too rather than watching it play out as entertainment, the entire actual point of sports. I guess if you never love them they can’t hurt you.
