Well then. Maybe with all those trades they made over the last few years that everyone jonzes for here ..... they overlooked fit and chemistry? Maybe those are not so overrated after all. This is not to say we don't have weaknesses or are "favorites" to win it all. Have a puncher's chance with health and hopefully at least one more useful piece can be brought in.

that writing's been on the wall, right? had they moved him last year and kept jimmy butler, they might be contenders right now. i don't like his attitude or his medical record.

ESPN's Bobby Marks reported that Harkless can still remain a buyout possibility today.

Clippers in effect showed him he was expendable and they wanted Morris more. Why would he go back there? You'd think he'd want a chance to make them regret it now?

Can't go back to the LAC after being bought out, not legal

I think Bucks are set, I don't even see his role, they already were loaded w/o Marvin and he filled that backup 4 spot

Mavs make some sense, but why choose Dallas over LAL (more money to offer and he already lived here)

Collective bargaining agreement doesn’t allow him to go back to the Clippers this year, I’m pretty sure.

long-term cash possibilities? not sure. he should choose la. but i can totally see why he'd want to try and stick in his home town and seek a serious payday next year after boosting his stats.

but dallas has dorian finney-smith, who's basically a better harkless, imo. we have no harkless, which isn't as good as mo harkless.

and that said, i still think playmaking guard is a bigger need than defensive wing. but i think i'm in the minority here.

I'd take Harkless without hesitation. I don't see who the playmaking guard would be with Collison off the table and doubt he would get much burn here anyway with the Rondo love from Vogel.

I'm surprised though - I thought Harkless liked New York. Is he getting bought out anyway? Or is this just wishful thinking.

It was a general protest comment by mentioning the teams that seem to get in the Lakers way. I had to include the clippers in that comment to make the point, despite the inaccuracy with Harkless.

Lakers fans wanted Collison and are now hoping for Waiters to simply to displace Rondo's playing time. I don't think an NBA locker room works that way. I hate to be the guy who says this - but this ain't 2K.

LeBron wanted Rondo here. Rondo is one of the reasons why AD came. And the teammates think Rondo's a good leader.

Do you think fat Dion Waiters is gonna pull rank on Rondo in that locker room?

The players view Rondo as a champion and one of the leaders of the best team in the West. If Vogel just gave all of Rondo's minutes to Waiters, what would Bradley, Caruso, KCP and Cook think? We have 5 guards who are all chomping at the bit to play. Vogel would lose all of their motivation.

Vogel is not going to hand out playing time because some impatient fans are WMC-ing for a shiny new toy. He has an actual pro basketball team to manage.

I think the improvement has to come internally, from our coaching staff and Rondo himself.

This season I've thought guard depth was one of our strengths. Playing an undersized 3-guard lineup against 4 athletic forwards (Bos, LAC, Mil) is our weakness. We need a forward.

I want an addition to the team, I just think it should be a forward or any athletic wing. Stephenson is the closest thing out there to that. Lance is the best ball handler left, and Vogel knows how to run a 2nd-unit offense through Lance. Just a thought.
