What happened to Dwight? missed that on the broadcast.

That definitely messed up the rotations and the Lakers couldn't use their usual 4th quarter duo of Lebron/Dwight lobs to setup the finish. Ended up playing small ball when AD was out and with Rondo that screwed up the spacing as bad as having a non shooting center without any of the benefit.

That being said the game looked like it was the Lakers till Covington hit that lucky 3 over AD who had him covered. He completely turned this game around for the Rockets while Kuzma and Rondo really made the Lakers brass look stupid for not keeping them (well at least keeping Kuzma with Collison visiting)

It’s bad when the smallest team in the league makes our front court look small. Lakers only out rebounded them by 1. Oh and say nothing about giving up 120 points.

nothing happened, Dantoni forced Vogel to match his lineup instead of the other way around

I said the same thing after we lost a bad game to the shorthanded Rockets in the ‘09 playoffs. But, I was wrong, you just never can tell until it comes, players will step up or won’t, additions will be made or won’t, injuries will come into play, we will be in the mix. But yes, tonight sucks, losing to Harden always sucks, I can’t stand that dude. But, I guess at least Westbrook is the one who actually won this game, so not quite as bad.

Well I never said that, but I’m also not convinced by those 2 games to declare the Clippers the guaranteed winners of the West. Sorry, if you’re scared of Houston, but I feel sorry for you and you should get a dog.

Oh my bad I think I missed the part of the game he played: Vogel screwed that up. That was an awful lineup with no AD - the Lakers immediately made a run when Rondo sat lol. I don't think you can AD plus Dwigth with the small ball but Dwight with Lebron lineups have shown they can cover the corners pretty well. Stupid move by Vogel as without a C we actually play smaller than the Rockets as Lebron is the only wing the Lakers have other wings can't overpower

Some of these shorter guys have really long wingspans.

I know Covington and PJ have long arms... Harden also.

The wingspan factor might change the way we view the traditional seven footer... especially when two of our 7 footers are six foot ten.

Are they getting worse though? Or is this the typical midseason blues most teams go through? I just don’t understand how so many fans ignore human elements. The season is already too long, so I don’t know about you guys, but I’m sympathetic to guys slacking off a bit in the middle of the season when we’re 4 games ahead of the next best team.

I’d rather have teams that pace themselves for the long haul than give everything they have for meaningless regular season records.

well this team hasnt proven anything yet either so I don't buy this "mid-season" malaise or the proverbial "turning on the switch" mantra we use to use on the chip teams.....the defense is getting worse especially against good teams, you don't need stats to believe that

Didn’t we beat Houston on the road less than 2 weeks ago? So one night we prove something and the next we’re trash.

Maybe I should take a break from LB because I’m exhausted from knee jerk reactions over the course of an 82 game season. I’d love to see some of the ridiculous posts during the course of our championship seasons. I bet we’d see a lot of the same chicken littles.

Pretty easy. End of a road trip and those things happen. It sucks, but I’ve seen plenty of championship teams lose to bad teams and lose to teams in what the media calls “statement” games. Pretty easy actually.

You love to do this. Take a response and completely twist it to insert things that were never said. Did I say anything about “letting” anyone win? Newsflash, individual games mean nothing. In our championship years we could never beat the Charlotte freakin Bobcats. Would they have beaten us in a 7 game series? Not a chance! Clippers are good and maybe could beat us, but I haven’t seen anything in those 2 games that convinces me they definitively win a 7 game series. They might, but it’s no lock. The Rockets? Not a chance they beat us in a series. Keep the receipt and feel free to quote me.

its easy to see it already, we have NO ONE to guard Leonard, Lou and Trez.....you simply excuse butt kicking by good teams becuase its the back end of a road trip rather than acknowledge our weakness which is defending good wings, tbat excuse is bs n the O is straight terrible w/o James on the floor, been a trend all season now

Wallangong has provided no substance but revisionist history. Today, we got torched by a team filled with guards and wings. Clippers have a stacked roster with elite scoring and defensive capabilities in those positions. People say the Rockets made a lot of threes. Yes, because we did a terrible job of DEFENDING them. Anyone with a sense of basketball IQ can see that we need a wing scorer/defender. Kuzma was supposed to be that player but he has been worse than Josh Hart. I would kill to have Josh Hart (who also earns the same amount of $ as Kuzma). Yet, I never hear about how much potential Josh Hart has or how untrade-able he is because of his contract. Why is that Kuzma gets so much attention for being a subpar player? He's useless. Some of you defending him have jumped ships already and disappeared. I don't expect you to have to defend him anymore. I would be sick to my stomach if it were me in that position.
