I used to throw my kids up in the air all the time, and I only dropped them a few times. I don’t even think there was ever any permanent damage, so it’s no big deal.
Haven’t watched any basketball since, I don’t really care about this season at the moment or the holes in our team. Just feel gutted that we lost someone who was doing so much positive in the world for kids. Lord knows we need more positivity in the world today.
I once thought it was amazing some 7-10 years ago when he got chants in Boston as we were blowing them out. But this just blows everything out of the water. The Gigi chants, too, before the tribute.
went to the memorial at LA Live today and it was just incredible to see all those people coming to pay their respects at all hours of the day still doesn't feel real
242 combined...81 in the third in the first 24. SMH. Finally saw the pre-game tribute, touching and sad. I'm all cried out before it but just feel empty fan-wise.
Going to be a Super Bowl tribute today, and then a Grammy's tribute next week. I don't know how much more I can take, but I think yesterday with the win and our guys fully focused, I'm starting to feel on the upswing.
They’ve been showing Kobe games on Spectrum today. Watched his 48 point game to close out Sacramento in game 4 of the ‘01 playoffs and just now his 62 in 3 quarters va the Mavs. Dude out scored another team by himself through 3 quarters. Never be another one like him.
The 62 in 3 quarters vs. the Mavs to their 61 points was my favorite until his final game. Even more than the 81. Dallas was a legit team. I've never seen anything like that. He was scorching hot.
It’s not like they weren’t trying to stop him either, they threw some double teams at him, Josh Howard flagrant fouled him around the neck when he went to the hoop too, he just couldn’t miss. The 3 he hit right before the 3rd quarter buzzer was absolutely nothing but net, had he been left in he might have gotten more than 81. But, it was a blowout and it wouldn’t have been a great look, I’m glad he got it in the flow of close game later on.
Kobe clearly transcended his own sport of basketball. Novak Djokovic. Current and eight time winner of the Australian Open alone. 5 times champ Wimbledon, 3 US Open and 1 French Open as well. https://apnews.com/f69a0b6816aad3d4b9ea6422d578f51f
Please let me know when I can reveal my true feelings about the cause of this accident if you wish to know. Fair warning, they will be harsh but not not to Kobe or the other passengers. I am now celebrating the lives. It is time.
I would much rather wait until at least preliminary reports come out within the next couple of weeks.
