Me and the wife are just shaken. Watching the TNT special tonight was heartbreaking.

I was Jerry West for a night another story to share with my Wilt one another time.

Jerry and Shaq tonight just took my breath away.

The world just seems more empty tonight.

    God bless all their souls.

24 also threatened to take Medvedenko with him which would have put them over the top.... :)

    Ball is like circle.

Seriously, I wake up and say to myself "Damn, he is gone...!" :(

Jerry and Shaq were both great on the special. I can't imagine, they lost a surrogate son and a little brother.

Hopefully spending this time together, sharing their Kobe stories helped the guys.

there was a story dwade shared about how one game the heat beat the lakers in miami, and all game wade was tappin kobe on the arm every time he shot (wade even admitted it tonight). so afterwards kobe had one of the coaches stay with him till 2 or 3am and hit his arm every time he shot.

wade mentioned too that he and lebron were watching kobe go through this after the post game meeting, and decided right there to go upstairs and work out in the gym. he said they finally left, but kobe was still there

    gotta love it

Unreal... It must be amazing for the young guys such as Kuzma, Caruso, and THT to hear all these stories. LeBron didn't even know what was going on. Kobe IS truly next level.

Also, addressing Melo's IG post... he said Kobe was planning on attending this Friday's game.

I think Larry Nance Jr played one of his best games ever tonight.

Its Wednesday here and guess what...it still sucks. Especially having found his body and him being identified...it kind of makes it even more "definitive"...if it makes sense at all...not that I had any hopes.

This could have happened to any other celebrity in the world...including any Laker, film star, singer or whatever...nothing would have made me even close to the sadness I feel for this tragedy. Kobe is the only guy I feel like I enjoyed stalking and actually did for 20 years. Nothing compares to this when it comes to me being sad for a celebrity.

I feel you. It was Sunday evening here in Germany and I was prepping for a business trip Monday/Tuesday. What a weird feeling. Besides my brother passing away nothing was worse I've experienced from a gut feeling. I'm 32 and that guy was my hero for 20 years and an inspiration when times got tough in my life. I think I made myself a good life and a lot of it was inspired by Kobe. He is my hero and ever will be. I spent 300 dollars for his last game, the most I could afford back in the day for good seats. A few weeks later he retired, next to me a guy sitting who payed around 3000 dollar. I was at a tough stage in my life and Kobe just put on such a show and filled me up with joy for months and even to this day. I will never forget that. He helped become the man I am today and it's tragic that Gigi was with him. It inspires me to be a father like him one day and keep going.

As sad as it is I think all of us need to keep going and take something with us of him in your daily life. I will.

And for the Lakers I hope once they get it together they just played their heart out this season and win it for Kobe.

    I hope so...

When I heared the news, the first 20 seconds I had a feeling of "sensation" as the adrenaline shot up. I actually didn't feel a lot of "sadness" on Sunday evening (also in Germany). I was just reading through the stuff and being contemplative...the real depression has hit me on Monday and has gotten worse to be honest.

It also seems like the constant stream of content about this just won't stop so it keeps you engaged in thinking about it and craving new details and pieces of information. Every show, every news paper, my feed on facebook, instagram etc. are unbearable.

One thing I want to know but haven't been able to find an answer yet is...did they suffer (knowing they are crashing) or did they just crash into the hill in an instant. NTSB called it a high energy impact crash, so after the impact, they shouldn't have suffered any pain I assume. But they also said the descend was nearly 2000ft per minute and she said this is faster than a normal landing speed. But this information doesn't really clarify whether they knew something was fishy and they were actually going to die (I hope not).

Dream scenario: They talk about basketball and laugh and within a second they are whipped out.

Horror scenario: chopper goes up to 2300 ft and then comes down crashing with Kobe hugging Gianna and the other parents hugging their kids and kids screaming or whatever the case may be. They said from the start of the descent until the impact took about 1 minute...that too me is an awful lot of time, but also makes me hopeful that the "fall" wasn't recognized as such by the passengers even when the descending was faster than a normal landing. Maybe they thought they are landing as calabasas isn't that far from thousand oaks.

Thats the thing that keeps me curious with regard to the exact crash cause etc...

So many of you capture my sadness and emptiness and say it well. Thank you. No other celebrity death could possibly impact me like this. CL/LB is like real family now.

Just ordered 24 of these. Will have one on me the rest of my life.
