So...no way they could win a playoff series against Denver then? Between Denver and Houston dominating the clips, maybe we needn’t worry about our complete inability to compete with them?

Clippers are interesting is that for all the talk of the Lakers being dependent on just AD and LeBron, that whole team depends on Harrell. They're whole offense is based in him being the roll guy.

I would really try hard to find AD and the centers with him on pindowns and postups. Lakers have to use their size to wear him and or get fouls on him

Impossible. Why didn’t Kawhi just score all the points?!

I think the Clippers just matchup very well vs the Lakers. But if they continue how they're playing, they may not even face us. OKC or HOU or DEN will take em out before they can even get to us in the WCF

i can't see them making it past the 2nd round without both kawhi and PG healthy

and so far it looks like it's going to be tough to make it that far and have both of them healthy

Not gonna happen. Lakers will face the Clippers in the second round or in the WCF. Denver is overrated in the playoffs. Houston is a jump shooting, no defense trash bin.

Only matters how the two teams are playing come playoff time. Health matters, and hopefully we both meet at full strength. It will be more meaningful.

tucker's uniquely suited to guard kawhi (and lebron, really). tucker's not super quick laterally, but kawhi's also not super explosive. i really think the clips should try to avoid houston in the playoffs. it's a bad matchup for them.

I hate that court/logo. The Clippers aren’t “street” or at least any moreso than the Lakers. I saw this billboard the other day a couple miles from my house and laughed at how stupid it is

he's just a sound defender, something we really lack on this team. doesn't gamble, uses his body and moves his feet, doesn't reach and foul. Bradley, Caruso and Green are solid defenders, but they lack the size and strength to guard big wings, KCP is more of a speedy defender jumping passing lanes and shadowing defenders, but again lacks size, Lebron is a help defender. that's why I really want Iggy for this team for this particular reason, we just need a lockdown defender.

Though, this new zone switching defensive scheme has been very good for us the last few times we've played. I'm excited to see how it progresses and we play the Clippers next.

well, tucker fouls, but he doesn't get called for it. like kawhi, he uses his hands to grab and rake a lot, and he's so strong that it's VERY effective.

We really don’t have a lockdown defender to handle the clippers wings as of yet. We haven’t been able to slow down Kawhi and PG enough to get over the hump in the first two games.

We’re strong defensively at the guard and big positions. It’s the wings that can get at us. However there aren’t many teams in the league that can really hurt us from the wings - basically the clippers and bucks only (which just so happens to be our biggest losses of the year so far).

It’s why I brought up trading Kuzma for a defender a few times.

But to be fair, Kuzma is defending much better lately. OK, I'm not to call him a great defender or anything, but he used to be absolutely horrible and now he's not. I mean, most of our coaches insist on playing defense, they practice it a lot. A young, athletic guy who is relatively quick and 6-9 should have no trouble learning how to play OK defense.
