the lakers matched up fine with milwaukee, imo. i like our chances against that team in a 7 game series, without any changes.

i think the clippers have an edge, but i don't see a single possible fix that's going to erase that prior to june, so...hope for the best. injuries happen every year, and we're one of the few teams that could capitalize if we're fortunate and others aren't. it's really all you can ask for.

i hope we're not making decisions based on hiccups during the most difficult portion of our schedule.

    I agree from a flexibility standpoint - we're strapped.

However, it doesn't mean we shouldn't look around and try to improve in areas we are weak in...we have to, IMO.

We don’t need to trade Kuzma. We don’t need another scorer. What we need to do is make it a focus on getting Kuz going, by running sets he’s good on. Kuz is a scorer, but spotting up in a corner or on the wing watching AD and LeBron work inside isn’t his game (although he’s been a better 3pt shooter this year in those positions). He needs picks for cuts to the basket and Rondo and LeBron need to make a concerted effort to get it to him on this cuts, which they haven’t so far. With all these injuries, he’s not going to get that normal confidence back trying to fit in like that, and I’ve seen so many plays where Kuz cut to the basket and was wide open but Rondo especially missed him.

This is the one area I feel Vogel has done a poor job. He’s been treating Kuz like any other roll player on the team, but we need him to be more than that. Part of that seems to be Kuz trying to fit in and do what everyone else does, but that’s not his game. We absolutely need Kuz to be a real contender and Vogel’s done next to nothing to make that a priority.

Isn't the problem that Kuzma does what AD does but less effectively?

I suppose we could prioritize highlighting Kuzma when AD's on the bench, but I'm guessing we've been already doing this.

Even so you have Dwight scoring at 70% on the interior so you wonder about finding him more looks as well.

In the same way so many complained about BI being unnecessary with LBJ... I'm thinking Kuzma doesn't really work with AD.

But at least his outside shot has bounced back somewhat so maybe we need to focus on that.

The problem there is that he's not a good free throw shooter so you wonder how much better he can ever get from three.

Rondo sucks - especially against teams that match up week with is; that's pretty much a fact.

I'm riding with LFR on this one; get me a shot creator

We see the need; and part of the reason is the way the roster is constructed; we're not winning a chip with Rondo playing that many mins.

    Not happening.

The New Orleans Pelicans could be interested in trading Lonzo Ball for the right offer, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

During his appearance on The Hoop Collective podcast, Windhorst said the Pelicans could make Ball available for trade if they receive the right offer.

    Do it Mitch.Rondo for Ball

No. Kuzma's game in the paint relies on screens and him in constant motion a lot more than AD.

Kuz's game is closer to a taller RIP Hamilton

But he is better at attacking the basket off cuts rather than midrange jumpers

I'm not sure he does the same stuff, but he does occupy the same position and takes touches away from Kuz. Kuz was a second option last season (at times a first option). He needs to learn how to be effective as a Lou Williams type player. PG and Kawhi are 1 and 2 on the Clippers, but Lou figures out how to continue to get his looks.

dallas can basically do courtney lee and a 2nd rounder if they really want him. maybe have to add an end-of-the-bencher to match salaries.

but again, i'll be shocked if memphis gets a 1st for him. and i still think there's a decent chance he's just waived.

when lou's in the game, he basically has the ball. kuz can't do that, nor should anyone have expected that to be possible. we have a bunch of pieces that play great off of stars and like s*** not off stars. honestly, that's a playoff-built roster, as lebron and AD are going to play HEAVY minutes in the playoffs (you ain't seen nothin!).

i'd love to have a lou williams. but there's only a few of them, and they're not for sale. we'll keep kicking tires, i'm sure.

Are we talking Bogdanovic from Sacto, or from the Jazz. I was all about going after Bojan If our plan A and B fell apart, but he got PAID. Bogdan I would also take in a second though, maybe Sacto is looking to sell low, and he’s a scoring guard we could use for sure.

We are talking about Bogdan from the Kings.

If anyone is talking about Bojan from the jazz, they are confused.

Looks like Windy and others are stealing trades from online.

If Kuzma can be a good mix of last 2 years (shooting of year 1 with cutting of year 2) with his improved man d, then he can stay.

But we still need a Rondo and or Avery (who plays good man d) replacement imo. Need some consistent bench scoring.

Jordan Clarkson put up 33 points tonight. I’m hoping Klutch can pull some behind the scenes buy out talk.

One area of weakness we need is a guard that can creat their own shot.
