We need a 3rd creator badly that can actually play defense, Iggy comes to mind. Also if there's a way to trade for a pg that actually not afraid to take the 3, I wish jrue wasn't so expensive. Also I think it's time for Vogel to bring in our talented young talent in Talen, I'm sure he'll do better than rondo

 

We need a scoring threat from the perimeter. A guard that can attack the basket to score or set up a teammate.

My WMC is that after every loss hearing we need to make this trade and that trade as if this is NBA2k and things like chemistry or other teams agreeing to these trades don’t matter.

Our areas of weakness have been exposed.

And they are needs.

LFR and Darius and almost every basketball head I listen to say we need two things; a shot creator and another wing defender.

I don't think we get both but we DEFINITELY need 1...

 

We don't match up well with the 2 others best teams in the league and our coach hasn't been good enough in these two games either, that's a reality .

This is precisely what I was worried about when I complained about trading everything for one player.

Is the team very good? Sure, no one can question that AD has played as advertised and is a good citizen as well.

But in the same way the Rams have crippled themselves by trading for Goff and overpaying him, paying Donald and Gurley... and then trading even more for Jalen Ramsey... they went from a Super Bowl team to not even a playoff team with huge holes in their offensive line.

Does anyone argue that Donald and Ramsey are great? No... but it's still too top heavy.

And yes, I get that football in many ways is a totally different ball game... one player other than the QB can't affect or dominate as much as basketball...the salary cap structure is different.

But people scoffed when some of us said it was a worry for the future putting all the eggs in one basket that had never won anything before.

I'm still hoping against hope that Kuzma starts playing like a near all star... that our shooters actually do what they are paid to do... that the health of AD and LBJ isn't adversely affected by the grueling minutes every game.

But other than a fluke signing coming from nowhere like DRose a couple years ago... or hitting the jackpot with our low first rounder... our ceiling might be where the Chris Paul Clippers were.
