    What? In what capacity?

They couldn't have just sent Scott to the draft then announce that they're replacing him, so it must be as an assistant coach, but would Thibs even consider it?

As Magic would say when D'Antoni was fired, Happy Days are Here Again! Number 2 pick and get rid of Byron? Wait, who is Jordan Schutz?

Yeah I have no idea who that guy is, but unless there's some way where Scott is still involved I just don't buy it. We wouldn't have sent him to go get our pick and then replace him. Unless we're going to pay like 10 million for him to be our head assistant, I just don't get it...

In fact I don't get it unless we fire Scott right away which I just don't see happening...

Isn't this the guy who said the Lakers won the lottery and Stanley was going back to Arizona?

don't buy it. not a classy way to handle business if so. if scott was going to be tossed aside, you don't use him as a figurehead for the franchise at a big television event.

maybe thibs takes a year off, and then they revisit the issue. but I don't see the lakers replacing scott with anyone right now. hell, they wouldn't hire phil a couple years ago.

Considering our FO has gone out of their way to exhibit class in all their dealings, there's no way this is true. It's no different than articles saying we're interested in certain free agent. All about the clicks

True or not, if you can upgrade from Byron to Thibs you do it.

This. That would be totally classless. I would hate to see them do Byron that way and seriously doubt they would. Screw this guy. [IMG]

Thanks for the quick mini-bio on him. I still don't believe him. As much as I don't like Byron, he'll get 2 more seasons. He's a placeholder until we're ready to compete again.

I would fire Scott and give Thibs the reigns immidiately, if I had a chance to sign him.

I love Scott and its not personal but Thibs is just a better coach.
