All we need are wins against the Tennants and Bucks (huge confidence boosters). If we drop 3-4 other games, it won't realy matter. LET's GO

Doesn't seam like Bill knows his Lakers history. 1985-1986, lakers lost to the Rockets in 5 in the WCF.

14 games... what do you mean by doing better than we think? Going 12-2 for the month?

I think that's realistic but I'm hoping for more. Depends on how we match up against Denver.

Going 10-4 and defeating the Clippers might be a better outcome than going 12-2 and losing to them.

Idk how AD vs Pau is even a discussion. AD is a 27/12 guy on offense while also being a DPOY candidate. Not even close Imo

Well Chamberlain was a 50/26 guy on offense while being a DPOY candidate and he lost MVP to Russell who also won the title with 19/24

He was 44/24 the next year and lost to Russell who was 17/24 again

I'm not saying Pau is better although he was a more skilled offensive player... but it's not an absurd discussion either.

Because I love Pau from the 3 years before Phil had to hit him in the chest and said AD can't carry his jock yet on offense .... I guess hyperbolically.

I do too, Elgin. Honestly, these teams should be more worried about us than the other way around at this point. 17-2 is just amazing. The come from behind from double digit opponent lead games have been stunning. This team is well coached and getting it done despite many new folks on the team and AD and Lebron playing together for the first time as teammates. I am kind of in shock after all these years of sucking. Definitely taking me back to Kobe Pau Odom Bynum days right now. Feeling like a serious contender.

are you saying wins matter? hmmm...

anyway, the C Bags were basically an allstar team outside of russell. wilt's supporting cast was...not even close.

anyway, yes, if you totally ignore that defense is played, it becomes a useful conversation--which still might not end up with pau on the winning side.

honestly, 6-8 wouldn't shock me. we always lose at portland, so one of those is probably an L. one of indy or atl will surprise us/catch us napping. road back to backs at dallas and at utah are tough games. particularly at utah after denver.

that's a lot of winning teams in road games. let's just not panic, ok.

6-8? The hell is that? They are not finishing 6-8 unless AD and Lebron are out.

We beat Utah pretty handily, although they might be tougher now that Conley has had time to integrate into the team... I'm not worried about Portland. Splitting with Dallas is a fair assessment seeing how we struggled to beat them last game. I think the high altitude back to back will set the tone for the month. If we sweep those games, I think we win at least 10... if we lose them, maybe we could spiral and end up where you are saying.

I hope you guys are right about winning so many games in December. I’m not as optimistic yet. These come from behind wins have me concerned. It’s great to win but that won’t work against stiffer competition.
