    A Randle/Okafor(Towns)/Gasol lineup doesn't intrigue a little bit? ;)

I'm starting to wonder if we might be better off making a run at Tobias Harris. I know he's a RFA, but the Magic have Aaron Gordon at the sf/pf tweener spot already. They also have the 5th pick in the draft which puts them in prime position to draft Johnson, Winslow or Hezonja (all sfs). I'm starting to think the Magic let Harris walk. I would love Harris as our sf next to Okafor and Randle. We'd just be getting even younger, but it would set up a nice nucleus of 4 starters and an additional 2 bench players under 24.

Towns works much better with Gasol than Okafor does. I really doubt Gasol wants to come here anyway. Okafor with Randle at PF and and one of the young SFs like Carroll or Middleton and a back up FA PG works well though.

I could also see a scenario in which we throw a max at Love and try to go Clarkson/Kobe/Randle/Love/Okafor.

Train Randle into the next coming of James Worthy at the SF spot. Tell Okafor he's going to eat last for a year or two, but he needs to work on other parts of his game anyway. Give him a lot of minutes with the bench maybe to help him flesh out his game.

How does that work for Durant? I have no idea, but I could see the Lakers going for that.

This would be my perfect dream. I think we need to concentrate on long term development.

Forget Gasol or Aldridge right now (Rondo should have been forgotten a long time ago). We need a PF more than anything else, and Buttler or Green would be perfect.

I can very much see that happening. My only hesitation is that Okafor / Love is not the best interior D combo. We would need a defensive beast at the 3 spot from our #27 pick. Is there one?

On offense though, Okafor + Love is killer good. Love's 3 ball is a nice spacer for Okafor and Love's rebounding will help pick up the slack there for Okafor.

It'd be horrible defensively; other teams would feast on us. If we want to do something like that, we need to keep Davis or go after Koufos/Chandler to pair with Love.

The only way I go after Rondo is with a restraining order.

Am I the only one who prefers H. Barnes to Middleton and Carrol? I would love to get T. Harris. Assuming all are in the 8 to 13 mill per range.

Yeah I mean their offensive game would be fantastic. Unfortunately we'd be a weird mess defensively, but I'm not sure there's a solution for that no matter what we do next season. We might as well double-down on some great offense.

I believe someone posted a few pages back that Love's defense is surprisingly good statistically?

Love could be an intriguing choice. His outside shooting will free up the paint and help Okafor on the boards. Pick your poison. Collapse the interior and leave him open or let our prized man-child abuse his single cover? Defensively though with this pairing? Errrr.... Yeah, I'm with ya'lls.

Also got to remember that Love wants to have the ball in the post a little more too so we'd have to basically be the Memphis Grizzlies offensively with two post playing bigs, but I don't mind that. We just wouldn't have Marc Gasol defensively we'd have Jahlil Okafor and it's just a little bit too much to ask for him to be Marc Gasol off the bat...

If we go Okafor, the free agents that we pursue have to have specific skill sets. I've advocated going after Love, but I wouldn't if we drafted Okafor. If he starts, which is eventually going to happen, we need to be more cognizant of acquiring a piece that will fit near him, that could be a good pick in roll defender, a rood rim protector, and have the ability to hit a 15' shot.

Love's defense absolutely needs a shot blocking 4 back there and Okafor isn't that right now. I really haven't gone through the free agent to list to too who could fit that description. Ibaka would be perfect; he's not available, though. Darn, his skillset next to Okafor's would just compliment him perfectly. We have to go looking for a poor man's Ibaka, at the very least in the interim until Julius and Okafor could be competent on the defensive side of the floor.
