Doncic is at LBJ level production at his age... he's a unicorn.

Doesn't mean BI isn't good... he just isn't Doncic.

My WMC: left work at the end of half-time and spent 10 minute trying to find the game on the radio because apparently the games aren’t all on 710 anymore(?) and nobody told me and not even google could help me.

My WMC, thought it’d be more fun around here now that we’re winning. Would hate to see how things are if we weren’t 15 and 2. 2! For crying out loud.

There are games that are fun to watch and you lose. Like the Larry Brown coached Clippers (Gasp, I know)

There are games that we win and are not fun to watch. (See Luke and Byron coached teams)

This team is no different. Sometimes when you know what the team is capable of and they aren't doing it, it's just frustrating to watch. Just a theory.

Totally agreed, don't even feel like checking gametime these days cuz of the constant complaining. We sound like the GSW fans that used to find ways to complain when they had the 73-9 team, and then the KD teams

you should. melo's generally killing portland like he did okc and houston. bullet dodged.

dudley might actually rotate to a proper spot defensively here and there.

i mean, dudley sucks, though. so shut up.

Anyone here been a straight A student?

If you are an average student and you see a kid crying because he got a B on a test... you find it insufferable and you think what a terrible life the kid must lead to be so unhappy because he got one B. I knew a kid who cried because he missed a question on a math test because he had never missed one before. I had a friend at UCLA who thought her graduate school dreams were in jeopardy because it was possible she might be getting a B in one of our French classes.

I can see how to 99.9% of the world this mentality is unpleasant to others and I think that's why people generally don't like it and being around those who think that way

I'm also guessing that Belichick thinks this way... I'm guessing that Jordan and Kobe think this way as well.

I'm also betting if you ever see an athletic freak or naturally brilliant kid who doesn't have this mentality that they probably lose to those who do, assuming the talent is in the same ball park.

I'm not saying it's a healthy way to live... I'm not saying it always works all the time... for every success story there probably are a hundred others of depression and alcoholism and failure. I'm only saying that there are people who think like that... and you need that drive to get to the highest levels of competition.

So you think this team would beat one of Jordan or Kobe's championship teams?

If LBJ keeps playing like this... I think they can beat anyone this season except maybe a healthy Kawhi and PG (It would be an epic battle)

But I don't see them beating Kobe and Shaq or Jordan and Pippen.

Just my opinion... again, don't understand why people want to hear the same recycled comments over and over.

anyway, i'm not following the other logic. is the idea that harping on imperfections is the royal road to greatness and/or ruin? sure. but how does this translate to fandom? is fan greatness only captured by imagining all possible negatives in your favorite team's situation, then being joyously (maybe?) proven wrong at the end of a season?

because, as we've discussed with vash over and over again: nobody has a perfect roster. we didn't really have an actual path to one, either.

i'm not saying i fully understand the point of being a fan--i'm a psychologist, and it doesn't help that much in this regard--but i can say that this isn't it. my life advice to someone with this orientation is to get out of the fan game and pursue your perfection in places where a) you have some control of outcomes and b) you can directly personally benefit from the elimination of all flaws from plans.

then again, none of this really jibes with your general insistence that rooting for a 34-win team led by ingram scoring 25ppg is somehow preferable. because...talk about neither being jordan/pippen nor having any clear path to anything resembling it...

I seriously don’t think you guys get it. This isn’t about championing Melo. It’s about protecting Bron, which would then make Melo (or whoever) a champion.

I think you guys are way too comfortable with letting this play out and then reacting. “When Bron goes down to injury, we’ll deal with it.”

Nah...how about taking preemptive steps to limit that possibility. If Dudz ain’t playing minutes (even with Kuz hobbled) bring in a player that can, so that Bron, AD and our core players don’t have to.

Melo was just one option that furthered our forward depth while also having the ability to get that 2nd unit to run the offense through him when Bron takes a seat. You can’t do that with Dudz and it’s bizarre that I’m getting so much pushback from it.

Bron ain’t paid 37m to play 35-40mpg for 82 games to secure 74+ wins in the regular season. Dude gets paid to lead us to a championship. Set him up for that opportunity then. You got an about to turn 35y/o Bron and a guy that needs to manage his shoulder in AD...ease that load up off them during the regular season. And y’all sincerely believe Dudz can?

    C’mon man?!

Dudz a good dude, but c’mon man, y’all hoping Bron don’t fall right now. This is bigger than just nitpicking the end of the roster. You need to take care of Bron, cause without him...yikes.

Instead of hoping, do something about it.
