Iggy is so perfect for this roster; perfect skill-set, and while I think he is still very good defensively, he can still run the play-making role as well; and adds another high IQ vet.

Why does Memphis have to be so stubborn?

Yeah, but others can. He wants others to hear him so bad about putting me on block, seems only fair I point out to others how weak that is on a discussion forum. Weird, I don’t think I ever noticed him till he brought me up. I guess I had him on ignore all along.

Anyways, let's talk hoops. Melo isn't infallible. Obviously there are weaknesses in his game. But overall our team needs playmaking, bench points and most importantly minutes for our stars to recover on the bench. So net ratings, vorp stats and any advanced metric aside, I believe Melo meets more needs for us than Dudz presently does.

Plus he’s Bron’s boy, so with the purported “klutch tax” and all, I was expecting it to happen.

Anyways, let’s move onto another target...and I’m not talking Iggy. I am talking Memphis tho.

    Cook/Dudz for Jae Crowder

That 2 for 1 gives us a roster spot for...

Seriously, how many times can we rely on Memphis? Dwight buyout...AvBrad buyout...and now hoping for Iggy or Jae or both to be bought out haha.

You're impossible. You don't respond to what is said to you. I gave you two scenarios and you weeny wimped chicken bleeped danced around them. There's only 2 possibilities here as to why you keep crying the ******* blues over Melo.

    1. You are still b******* about the roster choices our excellent talent evaluating FO made 4 G damned months ago while we have started the season in excellent fashion.

2, Or just because of the fact he was out there languishing in the twilight of his career, it now justified cutting someone who doesn't deserve to get "cut".

That's the only two ways you can have your G damned Carmelo Anthony on the LA Lakers at this point in time of the 2019-2020 season.

And you puss and don't address what gets said during your fun back and forths with me and others. Just rehash the SOS.

This is not fun at a point. Not sure why you think your "sole" "laser like" "focus" on what you want out of this season has to be constantly reminded to us.

So which is it. You're still bit*****g about the roster construction The Lakers (not people here) chose that didn't include Carmelo Anthony .... or that The Lakers (not people here) didn't cut someone 12 games into so far an excellent start to our season just because Carmelo Anthony was still on the market ?

1 or 2 2nd's for Denzel Valentine.....he's out of the Bulls rotation, yes I realize its not a good look when you can't even get any PT on a sucky team but look at what we did with Ariza, Shannon Brown, types. With Bradley injury we could use another wing that can shoot and Valetine shot 38% from 3's last season on very high volume. It works on the trade checker w/o us having to send out any players, so we cut someone like Greek or send him as part of the pkg with a 2nd.

@LTLakerFan not sure I dodged any of your questions so I don’t understand the angst, but bring em up again and I will.

Anyways back to the point, Memphis grants Iggy a buyout today, are you cutting someone? I know it’s a rhetorical question, but doesn’t that indicate to you that even you believe our roster could be better.

So if I believe we can create a better roster, how am I b****ing when damn near everybody here, including yourself, would cut someone for Iggy. There is so many things I would do differently during the summer, but I am discussing the here and now. Fact is, getting better by trade is going to have many obstacles. You want to trade Kcp so bad, well that s*** ain’t easy. So if you want to improve, you need to cut bait.

Now you state how hypothetical I am, yet you don’t see how you’re doing it yourself. See your argument is if our roster hypothetically stayed healthy, we would be 4 deep @ the 1, 4 deep @ the 2, Bron & Kuz @ the 3, AD & Dudz @ the 4 and Boog & McGee @ the 5. Giannis’s bro & Zach get heavy exposure and experience as we blow out teams on a nightly basis. And when Iggy comes free, he gets the 15th roster spot. We lit!

The things you ignore when you hypothetically give everybody immunity to injury is their health history. Rondo was hurt a lot last year. Av has had health issues to where he needed to radically drop weight. Bron had the worst injury of his career. AD been wearing compression Ts and requested he not bang shoulders with bigs too much. McGee is an asthmatic. Boog has 2 debilitating lower limb injuries in a sport where you need to run, jump and slide.

Then comes the inexperience along with aged feet and role. How many minutes are these players accustom to and what are their strengths. You hypothetically believe everybody can start. Caruso a 2way player that doesn’t have the experience of ballhandling for a 2star unit. He hypothetically could blow...or he hypothetically could blow (negatively) haha. Cook hasn’t had much run and his career minutes are limited. Av really isn’t a playmaking guard. Green is a career 27mpg player. Bron & AD can’t be putting up crazy usage and minutes during the regular season. Dudz hasn’t been able to play big minutes and even he’ll tell you that. McGee’s 2yr championship run in the Bay had him playing 9-12mins (from regular season to playoffs) as a high burst low minutes option at reserve center.

The thing about rehashing aka looking to the past is you notice trends that could help create a honest projection. You’re being disingenuous or way too much of a homer not to see that our roster needs some work. I’m sure Bron & AD can handle the load during the regular season...but is it the best thing to do if the rings the thing? Which is another rhetorical question.

The big thing is the minutes for me

Where would the minutes come from?

Kuzma is already on low min and will only go up a bit.

    KCP barely plays.

    Caruso is valuable.

And I still feel like Iggy is here come Feb

None of us know for sure, but I believe that if Lebron wanted Melo with Lakers, he’d be here. It’s very plausible and easy for him to say he wished his friend Melo got the opportunity in LA now that he’s signed to another team.

Iggy is a hypothetical and that irks some folks...so till/if that happens there are better uses for the roster spot Dudz occupies.

You mentioned Kcp and Caruso and I don’t see how guards impact our forward rotation. I guess in that case, Daniels is more expendable.

Ideally I want Bron and AD at 32mins per or lower. So that leaves roughly 30-36mins for Kuz. I think he can handle it, but it n order to preemptively address a stress rxn, we should monitor his minutes too. So we’re asking Dudz to pick up the load. He’s avg 15mpg the last 3 seasons and 8mpg with healthy DNPs so far while Kuz is out. I really believe minutes are there, especially if Bron or AD sit out of strategic games this season to keep their legs fresh.

Till/If Iggy happens Melo imo should have had a roster spot over Daniels or Dudz.

@LTLakerFan i extended you common courtesy over and over again by addressing each post you tagged me into. I’m sorry you feel a certain way, but I have absolutely addressed your inquiries or suggestions.

Let me state it again: I want players to cover Bron/AD with minutes on the court. Dudz ain’t doing that and it’s pretty easy to project, he won’t do it. Meanwhile Melo is use to playing 30mins+ and I’m sure would be happy at a title shot and feeling wanted rather than being stubborn about getting 30mins+ still.

And remember it’s our “excellent talent evaluating FO” that signed Kcp and Rondo this summer ...you know, the guys you and most of the board want to trade so bad, ignoring that that our savvy FO also signed off on those deals having no-trade clauses. So good luck with those hypothetical trade proposals.

I think it’s your attention span that is lacking some.

OMG. Why? C'mon Frank you're supposed to be better than this. Why are you ignoring the obvious better choice AC. Probably better, no make that very likely all around better at defense and closer to what AB gives us on defense and most definitely better at doing all the other aggregate things positive for the team consistently than f****** KCP. And still have Rondo and Cook to spell AC with the substitutions.

The Wagner thing is a little painful, but the point is to have a great team year in year out that’s entertaining and is an annual threat win championships. As long as that happens while we have Lebron and AD then I don’t care much about Wagner, BI, Zo, etc. We will get new talent (e.g. TNT, Norvell, Jr.) when we need it every year whether through the draft or trades. That’s the benefit of being a Lakers fan. Sports is fluid and ever changing.
