only way I'd take Dedmon from Sac is if they paid us to do it with picks, his salary abliet only 2 yrs is still an overpay (which Sac most likely had to give because of their market for FA) in addition to his craptacular play thus far. I did want him this off season but dam didn't realize the $ he got, I'd do Dudley/Mcgee for Dedmon/heavily protected 1st or 2 2nds (to help us regain some draft assets). I dont think Dedmon is going to magically find his stroke again just cause he's in LA, those 2 yrs in Atl seems more like an outlier than his actual production/gm for most of his career

pau? the guy who played the bulk of his career as a pf (guarding pfs and playing away from the basket on offense)? gotcha.

don't think noah and dwight were both going to come back up mcgee.

anyway, glad you've admitted noah wasn't the right choice. next step is admitting we don't need eleventy centers.

    baby steps.

i'd eat any one of their bad contracts (joseph, dedmon, ariza) for bogdanovic's RFA rights. i think he's a starting caliber sg who would fit in great here. he can shoot and handle.

probably the only way i take their junk contracts. hard to match, though, unless kcp and mcgee give up control.

You imply with such certainty, that I had to point out that Noah has been exposed to playing the 4 some and actually can play the 4 if roster/matchup demands it.

Pau in 15/16 was an Allstar for the Bulls and spent 100% of his time playing at center for them.

    C561E10A-1FD3-44FE-961B-9002201B68EF.jpeg

Meanwhile Noah played some at the 4 to accommodate his allstar center teammate.

    https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/n/noahjo01.html

The point is that although Noah could play high burst short minute stints for us at center, he would still be able to spot 8-10mins at the 4, with Kuz providing another 8-10mpg to help AD catch his breath and keep his minutes at around 30 per. It’s not just AD, but Dwight and McGee could play alongside Noah to continue with a tall ball lineup, which is kind of our strength and identity so far this season.

And f*** baby steps, I never admitted I was wrong about Noah. I was always interested in doing the 2step by grabbing both Dwight and Noah and dropping the stanky leg on a wasted roster spot aka Dudz.

Anyways, those that were wondering about IT...

doesn't that ruin any 21' plan they may have had in place? I wouldn't think they would put that plan out of reach for a guy like Bogdonovic

Can’t say it enough: Noah can’t play the 4 on either end. Doing so for short minutes years ago on an unsuccessful team doesn’t change it. Not a 4, wouldn’t play unless someone got hurt. Our problem is that our fives can’t shoot or defend in space; Noah doesn’t improve that and is worse defending the rim. Better passer, but it goes to waste if he’s at the 4 due to spacing issues.

@Khmrp: you know how I feel about 20xx plans...

Noah may have played some "4" but that was with a "5" in Pau who could shoot the mid range well and even shoot the 3 ball

Mcgee or Dwight can't do that

Dedmon's last year is like 1M guaranteed

Mcgee to sac, Cook (3rd teamer which sends a vet and a 2nd back to sac?), and Boogie (waived)

so that vash can be right about his gm skills, I think? Anyway, Noah’s a pf now. Keep up, moron.

Even if this is joking among friends, some people might see this and thing it's not breaking rules to call each other moron on LB, so please refrain from doing so.

IT is a no go out the gate because he and LeBron didn’t mesh in Cleveland.

Because for some curious reason, certain folks have a problem with me recommending that he take Dudz’ place on the roster...you know a former DPoY that can play maybe a tick more in minutes compared to Dudz who has been DNP’d by Kuz’s return....actually dude barely got off the pine when Kuz was out.

Anyways, in case y’all missed it, AD plays a 5 type role on offense and it would be Noah picking up the opposing 5 on defense.

AD leads the league in post-up frequency and attempts per game.

    https://stats.nba.com/players/playtype-post-up/?sort=POSS&dir=1&SeasonType=Regular Season

But when it comes to defending post-ups, he’s not there and he shouldn’t be. Noah in addition to Dwight & McGeee help keep it that way.

    https://stats.nba.com/players/playtype-post-up/?sort=POSS_PCT&dir=1&SeasonType=Regular Season&TypeGrouping=defensive

Certain folks don’t want to hear ways to improve cause according to them the roster as is, is perfect. It’s almost like they got Mitch’s fatcatitis eating off the roster Jerry West built...thing is, looking at the last 6 yrs, how dare they idly sit by? Haha

im.not expecting giannis in 21 but based on bogdanovic salary demands, id pass, he already turned down an ext that was reportedly in the 13-15m annually

saying that "noah isn't and never was a pf" and saying "the roster is perfect" are not the same thing. the roster has flaws. it's just that exactly zero of your proposed, post-hoc fixes actually solve those issues.

i think in the right role, he's worth that or more. plus, he'll be an RFA in a pretty bare market (very few teams with cash to spend)--what small-market team is going to gamble on someone not matching? how far will they go? 20 per? that would be ballsy. keep in mind that the kings aren't going that far, and they're like, the terrible contract masters.

Dj Augustin and MCW (salary filler) for KCP, Cook (I bet a team like Phi would send a 2nd at least for some extra shooting), and a future 2nd?

Who says no? Orlando gets some more shooting and KCP is still a guy who does give you some defensive versatility with guards (not forwards like Kawhi that we unfairly ask him to try and guard)

I would 100% do KCP/Fillers for Ariza/Bogdonavic. Bogdonavic can BALL - and like Abeer said, I'd gamble on him. He KILLED it in FIBA, and I believe Luke is misusing him right now (per usual). He's also 6'6 and he seems to play pretty good D and gives effort. He averaged 14-4-4 last year on 36% from 3 (on 5 attempts) playing less than 30 mpg. Per36 he was at 18-5-5, basically BI numbers. Only thing is I just realized he's already 27....so he's probably not going to get much better - but he fits this team for sure as a BIG wing that can shoot and play D and also can drive to the hoop and create his own shot.

he's a near ideal fit. and his price might go down as the season progresses and sac realizes they probably can't pay him and/or keep him happy there.

that said, i think there will be bidders. he's a great fit in dallas, potentially, too, for example.

Its not saying much but Burks is a y’all guard that was one of the better defenders on the dubs squad...

    https://stats.nba.com/players/defen...0&SeasonType=Regular Season&TeamID=1610612744

And his usage rate is 18% which shows he’s comfortable being a playmaker with the rock and would currently put him 3rd on our roster behind Bron/AD...till Kuz’s usage goes up.

    https://stats.nba.com/players/usage...0&SeasonType=Regular Season&TeamID=1610612744

Small move, but give the dubs the shooting the always desire while we get back a decent defender and playmaker. As Dec 15 approaches, Daniels for Burks...and both are on minimum deals so it won’t negatively impact the dubs who are pressed up against the cap apron.

i'd consider it, though burks has generally been a net negative player for his entire career. he looks good in theory, but doesn't help you win.
