yeah, still do not give a s***. also positive we don't have AD without giving up all the picks, period. despite your multiple, repeated assertions of hypothetical certainty.

    KCP for Iggy.

    He’s the missing piece.

I'm pretty sure we can get Iggy via trade - KCP, McGee, Cook should be enough to make salaries match right? Heck i think even KCP, Cousins, Cook gets it done.

There’s nothing hypothetical about it. We can’t trade future picks and I’m only pointing it out for those that do give a s*** about producing viable trade proposals this season.

    Oh trust me...I am.

There’s so much I could hypothetically say about those 2 trade proposals above.

Trade the trash by the deadline whether it's for immediate help or future help. KCP is trash and he has always been trash. Trash usually looks good when the team is trash. The second the team has talent, the trash stands out.

Oh please - I invite you to say something. You've been beating the same drum since the summer man. We ALL get it - we coulda kept Bonga, JJ and Wagner if Rob had JUST a little bit more FINESSE!

Oh please...you can’t overlook concepts if you’re being realistic about getting a deal done. Kcp/McGee’s no trade clauses...if Boog gets traded, our 1.75m dpe gets voided...Cook is the only guy real tight with our stars and his late pops is a Laker fan and you think that’s good optics to trade dude?

Then you look at roster count...they got 15 and we got 15, so a 3 for 1 ain’t going to work cause they only got 1 non guaranteed deal on their roster that they can waive to help grease an uneven roster trade.

Then consider the Griz ain’t in the tax and not close to paying it...so getting off Iggy’s 17.2m isn’t really a primary concern for them. They into asset collecting and it’s no secret they want to keep eating off Iggy’s demand for contending teams. You really think Kcp, McGee, Cook, Boog are the young team friendly controllable deals or draft capital they are looking for in a deal? So why would they want to entertain such a deal?

But I will give you this...at least you tried to salary match unlike that other dude’s proposed deal. That’s just lazy haha.

You think if Mcgee starts to get 8-12 min a game consistently, he will be happy with that? He may never get another deal again like this. At least if he plays more min on another team he has a chance for another deal.

Same for KCP, but Klutch can threaten to drop him tbh.

They also get kickers for accepting it I believe (or at least KCP does).

Maybe Mcgee and KCP for Kelly O or Leonard.

Why do Heat do it? They have 2 Cs (leonard and Kelly) who are similar guys, here they get an athletic lob threat and a long body. And KCP to come off bench if they move off Dion Waiters.

Why do we do it? Stretch big who can start with AD. Not a great defender, but neither is Mcgee rn. At least offense is more spaced out.

Why do KCP and Mcgee do it? No state taxes, more minutes to put up numbers, and Miami is also a great city

Bro...that’s a brilliant proposal and I sincerely appreciate the insightful and thorough breakdown!

Also it opens up a roster spot for an Iggy buyout and at the very least...Melo.

Also the trade kicker does belong to Kcp which makes him an outgoing salary of 9.3m vs 8.1m. That extra salary does affect how Miami sees incoming salary since they are hardcapped and only 2.8m away from the apron. But this proposal still allows them a little wiggle (especially if it’s for Olynyk’s higher salary) and they have 14 on the roster currently so a 2 for 1 works.

Again good proposal, it’s realistic and it’s obvious effort went into thinking of solutions to make the roster better for potential future upgrades.

Still Dudz is on the roster tho. Dude belongs in a booth with Stu. We gotta figure out how to parlay his contract. Got any ideas? Haha

Dudley should stay. Very good locker room vet. You need a guy a on the team who boosts up the morale and can teach some guys some things and give his insight. Cavs had RJ and Frye (though they did play bigger roles than Dudley) to make that team very fun and lighthearted, something that can be tough at times with a Lebron team. Its not always Lebron's fault even, but the pressure, spotlight, and expectations of being on a team with Lebron.

He can also hit some 3s, plays some solid team d, and is an enforcer type...kinda

    Avery, Green, Lebron, AD, Kelly
    Rondo, Daniels, Iggy, Kuzma, Dwight
    Caruso, Cook, THT, Dudley, Boogie

Deep playoff rotation of starting 5 (kelly gets like 1 small stint each game likely and thats it) plus Kuzma, Iggy, Dwight, Rondo, and maybe 1 of Daniels, Caruso, or Cook.

Any thoughts on realistic pg upgrade?

oh--to be clear, i don't care about trades at this point, which is why i don't care about pick swaps. got AD. bonga wasn't going to help anything else big happen, nor was wagner or a late first or whatever. once we got AD, our chances to get ANOTHER star were pretty much gone.

but hey, feel free to roast me if an all-nba player gets moved for expiring money and a late 1st at the deadline. you shouldn't hold your breath, though.

i think this is largely our team, minus some potential waiver wire jostling. unless we have a major injury that shifts things. and that's ok. we're competitive and have two superstars and at least 5-6 other quality rotation players. the list of teams with those attributes is very short.

So has Wade been working out with Lebron prior to games like he said?

Kiwi screwed us hard. Waiting, eliminated us from getting some good players (still, a nice "recovery" from the FO though). No one here thought, he's such a massive snake. Eff him and the tennants.
