I'm beyond thrilled. I have to admit I was happy enough when we found it we weren't going to lose the pick!!! To crack not only the top three but the top 2 and ensure one of the bigs? Unbelievable. I am not sure who I prefer. I love Okafor's game. But Towns has got big upside. Either way we will get an incredible big and that's much more of a rarity than any other position. We can pick up a vet PG like Mo Williams no problem. And we can spend some money to get ourselves a starting level SF in FA. Perfect!!

True. I am partly kidding about sitting back and relaxing.

But honestly, we are in a great spot right now. I can rattle off advantages to Okafor and Towns. I think we should all just breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy the moment a bit. We can go back to arguing tomorrow. Lol.

Oh yeah. I love Russell, but I take our three over theirs easily.

I guess my preference is Towns, but if we grab Okafor, we're in business.

For Kobe, ideally we roll out a lineup of Okafor/Randle/Butler/24/JC and Mo and Swaggy off the pine. That would be his best chance of preserving himself. Long shot, but that's his best chance of holding up for the whole season minus resting on back to backs and 3 games in 4 nights, etc.

I get why everyone prefers Towns right now. But I also think Okafor's potential is being overlooked. I think he can be taught to be a solid defender.

The only team that moved up. Thank and give yourselves a pat on the back. Our collective will made this happen.

It's going to be really, really interesting to see if Okafor or Towns does anything to try to get Minnesota to pass on them. I'm sure both would prefer to end up in Los Angeles.

Randle and Okafor both; their will need to be a lot of teaching. I just pray the scheme is better next year defensively...

To be honest, at number 2 there is really no intrigue for that pick. We are pretty much taking whoever Minny doesn't. Our decision will likely be made for us. Now the intrigue lies at 27.

With us being top 2, I'm starting to keep my fingers crossed for Justin Anderson or RHJ.

Yeah. That's a tough call for them. They were probably praying the Knicks and Lakers would be the top 2.

Mitch was just saying on TWC that they will likely bring in roughly 50-60 players to work out for their 27th and 34th overall picks. A lot of work to still be done.

Positive with the Lakers' current draft position is that there's no chance that they exercise Hill's option. OTOH, Rondo's still an issue.

Hearing Worthy talk about Towns, makes it seem like a clear cut choice. Lots of coverage on TWC right now. Clarkson will be interviewed soon.

could see minny punting and offering to trade picks if the lakers give them a goodie (#34?).

it's not like it's a landslide either way. if I'm minny, I take the guy who seems most interested in playing on my team (of those two).

they could also opt to deal #1 to a team who really covets towns or okafor in exchange for something good.
