Uh trading Lou enabled us to tank for the #2 pick and got us the 28th pick from Houston...what’s the problem? ADd that s*** up! Look at how we put up our coaching staff together. That’s how we set up our FO. I love Jeanie, but hire (or try to hire) the best people at their position and get out the way. I’m not saying Magic is the best candidate for a Prez position, but once you decide who is, let them get at it and figure out the bball ops side of the Lakers. Don’t try to Jkidd dude. Yeah...exactly! So don’t act like the #4 pick for us and the #1 pick for them wasn’t part of that luck to get AD either. Bottomline: Lou wasn’t going to make us a title contender by himself. But a high lottery pick and and another 1st rounder may net us a difference maker.
point flies by. i never wanted the cap space route, ever. had we just managed our assets, kawhi and PG might have been here with a solid supporting cast instead of across the hall. many of the same exact parts even! anyway, the major point is that magic was a bad executive, and his yammering on isn't changing that fact.
I give him credit for securing Lebron, maybe Lebron does come here regardless but Magic probably helped some. We wouldn’t be here without Lebron. But, we wouldnt be 24-4 if Magic was still in charge.
