He must come on here and saw what I said lol

Hey but it's true. We've got more than twice the odds of moving up than losing the pick. We've got twice the odds just to land at #5 than lose the pick...

Even so. I'm quite a bit more nervous than I thought I'd be.

is it because in the past decade or so, the events required to lose the pick have happened, like, 1/3 of the time?

Not at all. Like I said, any past draft has absolutely zero effect on this one. They're individual events.

I'm nervous because I want to keep the pick and there's a chance we won't. Simple as that.

    Ran the simulator 10 times.
    Mudiay 5x
    Okafor 3x
    Winslow 2x

I can live with that. Kept the pick all 10x and I like the result of 8 of those sims. Got the 2nd 2x, 1st 1x.

Seriously this late push to hype up Porzingis is ridiculous. Let it go. The dude is a rail and won't be effective in the NBA for at least 2 years at which point what is his role? Boo Porzingis!

I ran one of the sims and he went 2nd. I personally blame Chad Ford for that one. We ended up with Mudiay at 5 in that one.

Completely agree. I'm just wondering which team is gong to bite on him.

Yeah. I posted that full Chris Mannix article a day or so ago. A good read on several recruits including Russell, Johnson, and Upshaw.

Laker drama doesn't start until 7th pick announced tonight. Picks 8 thru 14 irrelevant to Lakers b/c they can't mathematically fall that far

Well, they technically still do as we don't want to see ANY of the expected teams there missing like we saw Cleveland go missing last year cause that means they snagged a top 3.

Exactly. If say Orlando's name pops up early that's good news for us. If Miami or Charlotte or Indiana don't get their names called when they're supposed to then we're in trouble.

I don't want P-zinga. And I'd rather have Hezonja than Russell.

Although P-Zinga is a great nickname... "Kristaps for the three... P-Zinga!!! Another zinger from distance from Porzingis!!"

Alright. Zings is back on the board!

I was thinking that - cool nickname. Then again, I couldn't spell his name offhand, so credit my ignorance.

Hezonja is in my Top 5. Whether he hits the 3rd spot, that will depend on his workouts, but he certainly shows the potential to slide into that spot. If he REALLY impresses, I wouldn't be surprised honestly if he overtakes Towns for the 2 spot. But I'm reachin.

    My "Laker" board is:

    1. Okafor
    2. Towns
    3. Mudiay
    4. Hezonja
    5. WCS
    6. Russell
    7. Winslow

I'd prefer Hezonja over Mudiay, but I bow to the NCAA and International bball heads.
