    Thinking about this Davis injury makes me think that going to China, flying 14 hours and then playing at 4:30am, is just looking to create problems. Guys are burned out and tired, playing on a lack of proper sleep patterns. I personally do NOT think any of our starters should be playing more than about 5 minutes per game and these games should be played with minimal energy. I really don't think this China trip right before the season starts is a good idea, screw the marketing angle. And then add the Houston debacle into the equation and this is a situation that needs to be changed. I say if they want to have an exhibition game or two in China, it should be after the league finals are over and you can find a couple of teams that would be willing to play there then. Give everyone some pocket money and throw a party for the players. This whole thing is stupid and I for one vote that it never happens again. If we lose Davis for 6 weeks, I want the Lakers to get compensated by the league. This sucks!!!!

    It was a bad trade, but in reality it was a “we don’t want to pay him” thing, so am ahead of time salary dump. We dumped every player we could down to Mo and Bonga to squeeze out a 3rd max for kawhi, so Zu would have been gone too in free agency.

    We have had an injury history for a looooong time now, guys were always getting the same ticky tack stuff they get now. BUT, we had Kobe, and he played through everything, so the other stuff didn’t stand out, because Kobe was good enough to carry us. Kobe spoiled us, he really did.
