good AJ stayed true to form. Wouldn't want to mess up that strike out rate for the series.

Same. We won't be on that emotional roller coaster for the rest of the month. What a painful way to lose this.

you guys called it. I didn't think they'd blow it but yes Kershaw choked, Kelly choked and at the plate Bellinger and Seager choked

Day after, some more time to reflect. It was a waste of a great season.

If real were here, he probably would emphasize how this was the consequence of bungling the offseason by trying to sign cheaper players (Pollock and Kelly). We also gave Kershaw a Kobe-esque contract and now we're stuck with him for at least 2 more years. Something has to change this offseason, and I do think that they need to splurge on an elite pitcher like Gerrit Cole. Recent teams have often won with more premium talent in key positions (starting pitching), similar to NBA superstars. That's what carried the Nationals over us.

The offense wasn't there for most of the series, and came in spurts. I think that some more small ball would've have been useful in some situations, as when Bellinger was on 2nd base with no outs. Sometimes, going all out for HR's isn't the answer.

In terms of Roberts, his decision making comes into question again. I think his opinion of Kershaw is too high and it was a mistake to try to make him a reliever when the way he pitches was to try to challenge batters with his lack of velocity. Ryu pitched better than him this year and it should've been Walker in Games 1 and 4 and Ryu in Games 2 and 5. I also don't get the point of trying to get Rich HIll to be a starter in a month and I feel that it led him to mistrust our other arms (Urias and Baez) in the bullpen with their Game 4 performances.

He is also inconsistent in how he treats players. He finally had the logic to bench Pollock, but couldn't bench Seager for being garbage. We have the depth and the talent and it was criminal to underutilize players like the Martin and Freese. Then there's the bullpen, where there should've been a way tighter leash on people like Kershaw and Kelly and more leeway on our best reliever Maeda. Roberts didn't even admit to making mistakes (Kershaw) during his press conference, said "I'd go with Kershaw every time in that spot. It just didn't work out". Sigh.

On the other hand, I'd like to give credit to Buehler, he pitched amazing out there and in this series. Shameful that we wasted such a great performance. JT, Muncy, Joc, Kike, Martin, Freese were great as well.

See you guys next spring, it's been fun to talk to you guys about Dodgers and it's now time to focus on the Purple & Gold.

If the Dodgers do not rid themselves of Roberts, Kershaw and money f***ing ball in the playoffs, they can eat a big fat one. Moneyball doesn't WORK. And Kershaw is pure garbage. Roberts managing is Mike Tomlinesque. Overrated and below average ability.

Thanks for everything David! I've enjoyed watching him in Dodger blue for the past 1.5 years and he is definitely one of the clutchest players in the playoffs.

Hope he can stick around the team to help guide the young players.

Dodgers dont need anything. They need to get rid of s***. Look what happened when the Nats got rid of Harper.

Dodgers need to rid themselves of the disease called Clayton Kershaw first and foremost. Until that happens, they will NEVER win.

2nd, Whomever, whether its Roberts or his puppet master putting legacies ahead of winning, those people or person needs to go.

Until those things happen, this will be the result every year. Period.

I read a rumor that the Dodgers were considering pursuing both Cole and Rendon. That can't possibly be true can it?

They don't have the balls. Too stupid. They will probably give Kershaw another year.

I'm wondering what happens if MLB finds the Astros cheated in the playoffs when they beat us. We already have seen they did nothing when Braun cheated and still won the MVP over Kemp. I can't imagine them doing the "right" thing but one can evil hope right?

Strasburg is off the market after re-signing for 7 years/245m with the Nats.

Looks like Rendon is the main target this offseason:

More realistically, it's going to be someone like Donaldson.

The yankees paid Cole a gazzillion dollars over 9 years. Im not hating the dodgers didn't pull that trigger.

Give me Rendon, MadBum (yes I said it), and someone who can close the game in the 9th and I'll be a happy camper.

Oh I'd take Madbum. The dude is a d*** but a beast plane and simple. I'd be shocked if he comes to LA though I actually think he really hates the Dodgers. lol. I don't think Dodgers need a lot to be honestly.
