Pretty rough start to the third quarter. Bad pitch to nowhere leads to immediate TD.

Could be the turning point there. Raiders couldn't advance after a first down, and the Bears are driving, chewing up yardage and clock.

Davis has the massive kickoff return and then has the ball punched out at the 1. Hasn't Gruden publically said he should run the ball on and-goal situations?

97 yards needed, Oakland. Let's go, Carr. Opportunity for a first 4QC and GWD.

My preview was ON POINT, y'all. Okay, I mean, not the final score...

Like I said I'll be back after the win.

The short and sweet is we dominated this game much more than the score showed. Yup, the bears put on 21 straight points but it was what we did that gave it up. I calculated we gave up 17 points. The penalty that put us out of FG range (no field goal Opp), the blown pitch by carr that we don't cover up (7 points), and we the fumble on the goal line (7 points). My biggest issue with our boys is we can't do sh*t in the 3rd. We need better play from our right side corners as they got picked on all game. And our middle linebackers (50 I think) had a few bonehead coverages.

In the end, our defense is pretty solid and yes we have a legit running game with those two backs. Got to give the O-line credit for keeping Carr off the turf and Carr credit for going Rich Gannon like and getting the ball out quick. We are getting a bit better each game.

Quote of the day, baby! :)

There was talk that the Bear offense would be better without Blake Bortles 2.0, errr, Trubisky.

We kept trying to hand them the game...last season we would have folded like a lawn chair.

Calls of the game on that 97 yard game winning drive:

    - that fake punt to Harris that gained three on fourth and one.
    - that shallow cross completion to The Island of Dr. (Foster) Moreau on a short yardage situation that crossed up the Bear defense.

...now the Bears have to start another streak of not allowing a back over a hundred yards rushing AFTER TODAY. :)

And like I told my buddy who is a Bears fan that the problem with Mack is that he can be neutralized in games. He had that one good rush on Carr and then picked up the fumble that we gifted them but other than that he never got home. Great player. Hate he is gone. Would love him on our team especially with what this defense is showing glimpses of but in the end he wasn't much of a factor against the Raiders. Hell, I think we ran a fair share to his side today too.

Oh and Jacobs is our best back in forever. This kid is quickly becoming my favorite player.

    That was a good article.

I love Mack, but we were too far away to make it happen with him. We got a great back in the trade. I told my wife today, “That’s their best back since Allen and Jackson were on the team.” Might be true.

“That was our mission going in. Run the ball on them, keep them from getting [into] pass rush mode,” said Richie Incognito. “They got Khalil Mack, they got some dynamic playmakers over there, but we came out and punched them in the mouth and they didn’t like it. They were talking a bunch of trash that first drive, we came out, punched them in the mouth, put it in the end zone and then all that talking stopped.”

...now keep you're emotions in check and no personal fouls.
