Memphis has nothing to lose. That place is downtrodden, (I said that as nice as is possible). Everyone knows it, even everyone in TN knows it. It is one of the worse cities in the USA to live in. It's amazing that they got an actual top tier league team in that city! They have had declining attendance for the last 3 years. They re currently ranked as the second most dangerous city to live in the USA and have been ranked the most dangerous in the past.

Not like anyone there is going to care if they treat their players right! Sure the players may think it sucks but really, who cares what they think, they don't want to be there in the first place because they already know this city is the pits. No player wants to be there. This should strictly be a minor league team city.

.... and to come and hang with BFF Rob and be a Laker too.

    :Noddingyes:

But I get what abeer is saying and makes even more sense. I just hope he ends up a Laker.

The goddamn league better apologize to Magic for all the ridiculousness!

Meanwhile, Bron and Kawhi, y’all made the list. I guess this is pertaining to Iggy watch, but don’t give Memphis a reason to report you, Bron.

Apology?! They should give that man his damn 500K back, friggin ridiculous. Fined for saying Giannis would win the BUCKS a title.

Yeah it was 50k, but your point remains...the NBA should donate that back to a charity or Magic’s foundation. And to be fair, they should do the same with Doc Rivers and his Kawhi tampering fine.

As for the 500k fine, yeah that was obvious tampering by Rob’s burner...but all in all I’m happy it didn’t work out with that particular individual.

I think my confusion comes from when the 500k find initially was reported against the Lakers most assumed they'd gotten Magic again, but it turned out to be Rob and like Shaw or something. I think that’s why my memory was hazy, I can’t remember now if it was the 50k or 500k fine, but I feel like Magic joked he’d gladly pay it, maybe back when h and Rob were still new to eachother and on better terms, could be remembering wrong. Either way the NBA should give it back, they stole from the man.

Your memory serves you well Weez...

Either way... that whole tampering thing was trash. Both Morey and Ainge were awarded as previous execs of the year and for some reason that allowed them immunity when they both made comments towards Bron, who was under contract with the Lakers at the time. Yet no fine...

Ainge makes comments about Bron (and Giannis) in April 2019:
Morey makes comments on Bron in August 2018:
Unlike the rest of the league, we don’t whine for a fine.

Welcome to Southbay...and we now have the option to make him a 2way player when Novell or Kostas’s 45 days are up.

Picked the wrong one though. Saw them both play in Germany and his brother is by far the better player imo.
