This won’t be our starting 5 but I can see this lineup being our “defensive stop” lineup: Bradley Green King AD Howard I actually hope this unit gets a lot of run because they would be fun to watch. Bradley/Green playing DPOY level perimeter defense with AD and Howard being the defensive anchors in the post. King is there by default and unfortunately will look like A 6’8 260lbs Derek Fisher on the defensive end.
And he would be the best ball handler in the group which isn’t saying much. It would be pretty repetitive pick and roll unless Bradley can expand his offensive game a little. But the defensive potential is definitely there. 4 good defenders can cover for even somebody as bad as LeBron on defense
Can we stop this BS narrative that Bron was a bad defender last year He will turn it up come playoff times and he will give effort in close games to close out. He is 34, turning 35 in DEC, and has played tons of minutes. He will be in top 10 regular season minutes all time after this year assuming something like 72 games and 34 min a game. Now add on all those playoff and final games and a few summers in Olympics and FIBA.
It all adds up to crap defense. You know it, I know it, The Clippers know it. The eye test told me so, but he’s still my favorite player
I disagree you need good defenders with good length against superior talents . For instance we all saw what happened when PG13 was guarded by KCP on one hand and BI on the other hand ... very different results . Our 3 guards lineups are going to get killed especially since they aren't good defenders , Caruso and Green excluded ( and Bradley if he gets back to his best level). Rondo, KCP , Cook and Daniels are going to get torched
Melo Melo Melo Melo Melo!!! BTW,I somewhat agree with Swagy P https://www.tmz.com/2019/10/03/nick-young-carmelo-anthony-nba-lakers/
Not in a starting five, but I’d like to see this lineup: Lebron Green Kuzma AD McGee/Dwight Maybe Kuz gets it going if he hangs with the cool kids.
