I didn’t listen to it yet, but is that a semi backhand slap to LeBron LOL?

Maybe not, but he says both ends of the floor. He and LeBron both don’t play much defense at this stage of their careers.

Rondo is used to being floor general so it can't possibly be as exciting for him to play with LBJ as AD, who is a target from heaven as Rob would say.

Not sure if folks have seen this yet...

But seems as though what I heard about the coaching staff's preference for the starting lineup coming into camp has begun to manifest itself:

I'll dig around a bit over the next few days to see what more info I can get about the team and training camp.

I guess we'll get razed by any decent point guard every night...

Both Bradley and Cook are absent from that list. I’m not going to read too much into lineups quite yet. Hopefully they’re just giving Rondo some run with the starters out of respect and the PG position will work itself out.

Seems like they should have had enough practice time by now. When do the games start?

These people are legit morons if they think Rondo should play with Lebron

He had the worst net rating by far of anyone playing real minutes with Lebron last season

    Caruso or Bradley should start

I’m hoping the defensive guru coach can nullify that part. No more Luke defense.

Starters, that's what I expected to see.

Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I really think Rondo can be really good for us this year as a starter. He's not the game changer defensively that he was in Boston, that's expecting him to beat out Father Time and find a time machine. But I think he can and will succeed in a defensive system with other defensive players on the perimeter and three bigs who all are very good on D (one will always be on the court). We will constantly be funneling and running guys off the line. If McGee wasn't playing, we couldn't do that last year. Vogel and his staff are more defensively minded than Luke's group. Offensively, you're putting him with much better shooters who know their spots better than a Beas or a Lance. There will always be a big in the game who can thrive in the P&R with him, as well.

I think Bradley and Cook will rotate in and out with everyone but Dwight. Keeping that second unit fresh until a solid 10 presents itself. Which in itself will fluctuate a little in season with load management.

i really hope we see some smash mouth defense. we are tired of hearing every year they are emphasizing defense only to give up a thousand points a game

    Rondo has a stiff jab
    Dwight - soft
    Lebron - soft
AD - doesn’t want to bang
McGee - not a mean bone in his body
    Caruso - white
Dudley - fouls to make up for lack of skill
Don’t know much about the rest of the crew, but I think of Artest as smash mouth. I don’t see any of those types on our roster yet

As much as I would love to buy in, I’m just not seeing it quite yet.

Yeah same thing I was thinking. Vogel going LaVar and putting a target on them. Who's their real enforcer who can back it up with the big guys now that Boogie's not here with his gun and bullets?
