Yeah, Pincus is just speculating; much like us, but he has a firmer grasp of the team since he works so closely with the team.

Not sure. If it weren't for that sickle cell thing he has, I'd definitely consider WCS as high as 4. Let's face it, super athletic 7 footers who are already defensive monsters are tough to come by. I mean, he kind of is the "center of the future" in the NBA. Will it be harder to find a WCS in free agency or a 3 and D wing? Its all pretty interesting.

Cauley-Stein is the center you want if you're targeting Love in free-agency...

Yep, and Randle trying to play the three. It may end up being a layup drill to the rim. WCS may lead the league in blocks his rookie year simply because he will have so many opportunities. :mm:

Love's defensive metrics aren't that bad. Defensively, gives up .78 ppp to roll men, .75 in the post, both stellar numbers. Doesn't close out real well, but gave up an average .99 to spot up shooters. Gave up a whopping 1.3 to pick and roll ball handlers, but that is misleading, since he played well positionally and only ended up with 11 ball handler possessions. Gave up a shockingly good .63 on isolation defense.

Although, Love's defensive misgivings have always been due to poor and/or lack/late rotations; According to Vantage, Love makes the proper pick and roll rotation at an elite level. His biggest weaknesses defensively are trying to stick too long in rebounding position, thus not getting into the play, and the long second rotation.

Throw him at the 5, simplify his rotational responsibilities and have a mobile shot blocker back there, and I don't think the defense would be as bad as we think.

His name is Willie Trill guys. Can't let the guy make that awesome name change and just ignore it when we discuss him!

I would take WCS before Winslow or Johnson, but not before Mudiay. But then, I would also take Kaminsky if we were in the 5 spot and the top 4 were gone.

Dude can put the ball in the basket. He's going to be a nice 4 in the league. How about whoever picks him we trade Kelly for him? [IMG]

Man most of this prospects are lying about heights. Johnson and Winslow are short as heck.

Yeah WTF with that, do these players or their college coaches or their agents think they are not going to ultimately get accurately "measured"?

Yeah, I said it few pages back too, there aren't any "true 7 footers" in the draft, only "with shoes."

Kamisnky was the closest at 6'11.75.

Everyone lies about their height though. It's not like Kobe is really 6'6".

Cauley-Stein could easily be Sacre 2.0. Bismack Biyombo is the C you want if you're targeting Love in FA. Only 1 year older than WCS, already has NBA experience, already proven as 1 of the best rim protectors in the league, already proven as an elite rebounder & defender. Just need to get him playing big minutes. Available between 4-6M in FA. Draft a wing or PG.

Sacre 2.0? I would disagree with that. I read a relatively positive review on Biyombo from Zach Lowe. I'd still take WCS and call it a day. That's just me, though.
