2019/20 Players' Transactions: Breaking News , Trades, Free Agents, And Rumors

It doesn't matter if they are around until they are 50. The value of the picks will be decided on how competitive the teams will be in 4-6 years.

 

The latest rumor is that Miami wants Bradley Beal and would be willing to also take on John Wall’s albatross contract to do it.

Dragic (expiring)/James Johnson (2 years)/Waiters (2 years)/Winslow for Beal/Wall works salary wise.

If I were Washington, I would actually do it. There will be nobody else willing to take on Wall who is under contract for another 5 years. He’s coming off a ruptured Achilles and he will be owed $47 million in the last year of his contract.

Beal is probably going to leave Washington in 2 years anyway. Might as well hit the reset button if your Washington.

 

Yea I thought of that, but didn’t get the time to finish my post. His shooting is bad, but I think it’s situational based on his role with OKC as the ball dominant point guard. I think without the pressure to facilitate and having a free flowing offense his shooting would improve. Even when PG was there, he still seemed to play in spurts. He was deferring to PG to make sure he gave him shots, it just came across unnatural for him. I think that led to forced shots when it was “his turn”. Time will tell with Houston, but I sense more freedom for him and less responsibility in the sense of his OKC role.

 

I think russ realizing he 30 and has maybe 2 years with that athleticism maybe less hell be the player we all cant imagine we seeing on the floor ....I'm thinking being used less but in those spurts hes used as the ball dominant guard more effective russ had some procedures at the end of season maybe thats why he coudlnt get the lift for a jumper

 

Likely useless picks when it comes to drafting a star. Too many protections on some of those picks. NBA needs to rid itself of "protected" picks. I think it's stupid. They keep talking about trying to make players stay with their teams, nothing makes players stay with their teams more than eliminating protected picks because teams are NOT gonna trade these kinds of picks if they are unprotected, in bunches.

 

We have no way of predicting what their valued is until that season is done. Still I stand by my statement. If it were the Lakers they would be getting roasted over it.

 

I hope we keep checking in on the Iggy front, even if it annoys them. If he gets bought out, I hope his relationship with Rob can get him here. He’s the last missing piece for this team and more importantly, it keeps him away from the Clippers and Rockets. (Rockets might just trade for him soon, knock on wood)

 

Apparently in the new NBA, people from our front office need to show up to his games wearing Lakers polo shirts, and threaten to buy the rights to any trademarked logos he may benefit from...

 

Of course they would get roasted, because everyone hates the #1 basketball team on the planet.

 

NBA picks are not NFL picks. Trading high teens and 20s picks to get better picks aren't realistic. OKC will have to suck or other team has to suck for it to be worth it.

 

OKC has a better draft history than most teams, so there's a chance they can get some high level starters even with picks like that. But, you don't typically get KD's, RW's or Hardens with late first round picks. But either way, if a team can turn this crap into pie, they will be one of the teams with a better shot than most.

 

It helps when you have the #2, #4, and #3 pick in consecutive drafts.

 

but to be fair to them, these are solid picks:

24 Ibaka
18 Eric Bledsoe
24 Reggie Jackson
12 Steven Adams

they have some lower level players and head scratchers too, but with that many picks, I'm sure they'll be respectful. And most importantly to the owners there, profitable lol.

 

But the odds of them striking gold again is slim. They had their chance when they had Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka, Russell Westbrook, Kendrick Perkin, Steve Adams, and James Hardin

 

Imagine having a team so loaded with top-tier talent, you have 3 future MVPs and Ibaka and you make the finals before ANY of them turn 24, but deciding you just don't feel like paying for it.

 

It is pretty whack. If that happened in LA, the whole town would revolt. Just remember this everyone, think of what the press would be doing to us, if we pulled this same stunt!! If I was a fan of OKC these past few years, I would bail on the team and move on. That is ONE F'ed up front office. Harden, Durant and Westbrook with NOTHING to show for it. NADA!!! Un-F-ing excusable!!! Everyone in the FO should be fired. The owner should sell. And THIS is the team that had the Seattle market and blew it. Reminds me of the Clippers in San Diego, only worse.
