By the way, if OKC is having a sort of firesale and starting over... I know this is pipe but I would try to pry away Steven Adams... I love that guy's game!

He's making like 50m over the next 2 years, what do you have in mind?

If he's bought out (very unlikely) what he is making is inconsequential.

No news on JR Smith? Thought that was a given he would come. He's an alright shooter and defender for the vet min.

Same with Melo thought he was 100% coming. Might as well retire if not picked up by any team this offseason

So, it is "very unlikely" that he will be bought out. Which means that what he is making the next 2 years is consequential and highly relevant. Which means that, short of trading one of our 2 stars, we have no means of acquiring him. What am I missing?

    Nothing. Just being overly-pedantic.

Great, I've been accused of much worse, so I'll take "pedantic" today.

Can some of you please not mention JR Smith again in here? I don't know if you are joking or serious and it makes me uncomfortable.

We'll see. I think he fits well, but Green's situation puts the Warriors in a tough spot. I wouldn't go anywhere near maxing him, but they may need to in order to keep him.

Someone mentioned it a ways back but at some point, The Lakers can’t take any more “names” that may be looking for adequate playing time. Can’t recall a roster that went 13 deep on a regular.

Agreed. At this point we're running out of minutes. But there is still a bit of a hole in the roster at backup 2/3. I think our PG rotation is probably the worst in the league, but it is set where it's at. Backup 3 right now is Jared Dudley and while I think he's okay, he's not the kind of guy I think is capable of making dynamic plays when it has to be done. Iguodala is perfect for that spot. I still like Avery Bradley as well.

Otherwise, we should be looking definitely more at the Korver types who are specialist with limited ceilings, but won't care about minutes or opportunities and will be ready when their name is called.

After Sam Presti's unwillingness to wait until December 15th for a potential trade, and Westbrook's lack of initiative in forcing the issue to LA, the Lakers have moved on from pursuing the all-star guard.

Lakers are trying to get in touch with Andre Iguodala's camp to see if any progress has been made on a potential buyout with Memphis. Front office officials are fearful the Clippers, led by Jerry West, may snag the former Finals MVP if the opportunity arises.

I'd have to think that we'd have the advantage if he had to choose. Dre's former agent is none other than Rob.
