THIS is why you trade young talent for established stars. Look at the roster we have now because we gutted for the stud and just grabbed vets. That's how the Lakers win.

After letting this all settle in, I'm kinda stoked.!!
Our Team is solid. Kudos to the Plan B execution. & I don't think you can judge Rondo & KCP's contribution by last Year, this is an entirely different situation. Literally.
As frustrating as it was to lose out on Kawhi & then have him & PG Team up on the JV squad, It's pretty exciting to have a legit rivalry here in LA. I'm not talking past accomplishments, but... They now have 2 Players that shunned us in Free Agency, a Coach & GM who came from the C Bags & approved covering over our Banners & Retired Jerseys while subletting in our building, an ex Laker in Lou Williams & a punk Patrick Beverly who openly took cheap shots at one of our Rookies.. I fully expect LeBron & Co. to bring it on hard this Season & I'm excited...!!

You can consider AD and Boogie run it back guys too when they played in NOLA AND Kentucky.

So.... Haven't heard much about if we meet in the Playoffs, which is inevitable, that it will be our first meeting ever and that we will basically have like 7 straight home games!! This is Lakers City!!

This team is really solid and actually balanced. Our coaching staff is good, so Overall, I am pleased with plan B. Realistically - this is a contender if (relatively) healthy. It’s not going to be easy though.

Put together in spite of crappy owner Jeanie and no skills rookie, unlikeable Rob.... and Mag with the corporate backstabbing after his great opening act with LeBron.

Now we just have to be fortunate about the injury waves that have dogged us the past few seasons...

Just cause rob said some things that hurt Magic’s ego, doesn’t make him unlikeable.... if anything, his off-season is much more better than Magic’s two off seasons...

    Alex Caruso/Quinn Cook/Rajon Rondo
    Danny Green/Kentavious Caldwell-Pope/Troy Daniels/(Zach Norvell)
    LeBron James/Jared Dudley/Talen Horton-Tucker
    Anthony Davis/Kyle Kuzma/(Deandrae Cacok)
    DeMarcus Cousins/Javale McGee

I don't think I missed anyone. Give me one more wing and one more big man and we're absolutely ready to go. I couldn't be happier with this lineup. Remember when fans were freaking about missing all the impact players? Remember when everyone was saying we were screwed if Kawhi didn't come here? Now we've got a team with competent, even great, defenders all over the place and absolutely some fantastic shooters.

Teams are going to utterly struggle against us inside. Boogie and Davis aren't just big, they're mobile, with quick hands, can shoot outside, and an ability to change ends on the floor. Do we have another wing star on the team? No, but good luck finding any team that will compete with us on the interior. Oh and in the end, someone still has to defend LeBron James.

This is the best team we've had in a long, long time. I can't wait for this season to get started.

First time in a while in July that I’m ready to see this team go tomorrow. I was happy we finally landed a big free agent in LeBron last offseason, but a good number of the signings after him left me feeling a little conflicted and confused, as much as I tried to talk myself out of that. This time, Anthony Davis. It’s really that simple, 2 superstars on the team, a guy who could really bounce back in Cousins, solid pieces at every position on the team, starters and backups, it’s a deep roster. We’re in the title hunt this season, sure it’s with like 8 or 9 other teams, but we’re in it. :D

Someone help me feel optimistic about our plan in 3 years when it’s time to replace Lebron. We’ll have AD and hopefully kuz is pretty good. This comment isn’t meant to be a downer. I’m stoked now and just want some optimism about the future too, but haven’t researched anything yet.

We need to snag Iggy, even if it's to keep him from the Clippers. He getting Dudley's minutes in big games would be such an upgrade.

50-55, imo. bron and davis will miss games, and our pg rotation is near the league's bottom. it's hard to win 60 games like that. but i'll be surprised if we don't get 50 this year, despite that.

Cook, Green, Caruso, Daniels are all career 40% or better 3pt shooters. Dudley career 39%. That's what I'm talking about.
