@Mr. Rambis, thanks for all this. Please keep us in the loop from here on out when you can, on whatever you can. Any insight is fun to hear, especially the bits that aren't someone touting as a Biased Laker person.

This insight is still fun and really nice to hear some inner workings, it helps see the team in a different light.

Do what you can and keep up the good work. We appreciate it.

Tons of LA transplants. Tons of teenagers who are international students in LA. There's a huge market there for the clippers merchandise. New Balance will be just fine. They'll be a hip alternative to the Lakers. This new millenial generation doesn't care about legacy and past history...just look at the Superstar free agents.

Considering Laker players pretty much own the international market and Kawhi jerseys were only 15th last year.

Meh, Mr. No Personality isn’t selling anything. PG will probably outsell his New Balances.

^ You guys need to have an open mind. Things have changed. This is still a laker town but there are a ton of people who are not from LA and they could care less about the Lakers history. I'll leave it at that. All of us are free to make our own judgements.

Totally agree that we all get our own judgements, and you have logical reasoning in your opinion.

That being said, if I have learned anything this off season, with the Ballmer Bucks media coverage and the Kawhi signing, there is no middle ground between the Lakers and Clippers.

It used to be like a kid brother that you'd cheer for because you felt sad for them that they could never succeed. Now it's personal. Now it is time to destroy the Clippers every time we see them.

What part of not even in the Top 10 jerseys, isn't clicking?

That's not going to change, just because it says Clippers.

Some influential business leaders at AEG are reportedly unhappy with Lakers management. View time spent into Kawhi Leonard and New Balance as a massive investment. They would not have been displeased with a Toronto signing, as that to them was always a large threat, both monetarily and organizationally. But seeing Kawhi sign with a team that is lesser in every way business wise is, as I'm told, "a big slap in the face" to multiple folks in AEG.

Lakers management is pleading ignorance. Claims they were left in the dark.

I haven't heard of tensions like this since the Chris Paul trade got vetoed years ago, though in that situation, tempers were far, far higher. This is a distant second in comparison.

I actually get the front office here. I don’t see how they could have anticipated OKC doing this.

We gambled and lost. Perhaps this will motivate the front office to truly get itself in order.

Woj makes it seem like if the Clips didn’t make a trade Kawhi was going to the Lakers. If you are the Lakers you sit and wait every time on that. They did no wrong here. You can’t predict what happened tonight.

OKC basically folded their hand after they were dealt a perfect hand (two superstars small market).

For what? She owns the team and calls the shots. What are they going to do, reprimand her? What can they do? Also, Lakers got Anthony freakin Davis and have Lebron freakin James. What exactly are they complaining about?
