Cousins has worked his a** off to rehab himself from that achilles injury. A guy that size that came back that fast, says a lot honestly. You can tell hes hungry to play and loves the game. Those are the kind of guys I want to pay, guys that starve for the game, driven to win. He wasnt scoring 25 a night because hes a scrub and everybodies missing the boat..

Danny Green's options are between Mavs, Lakers, and Clippers. If he is waiting for Kawhi's decision, then in what scenario does he go to the Mavs???

Mavs are going to be good next year too. West is going to be a nightmare top to bottom. The East is the JV squads lol

 

Dallas is super high on him, and will likely outbid everyone. If Kawhi goes back to Toronto, he'll probably leverage that for a decent contract and stay with his buddy. If not, and he goes to an LA team, he's not likely to take our minimum slot if he'll get much more in Dallas.

And there is no guarantee he'd be a target for us over say a Boogie Cousins with our exception outside of the minimum contracts we can offer.

 

If KP is healthy, they will be VERY interesting. Too bad there wasn't any tread left on Dirk's tires.

 

The reason Danny Green hasn’t signed yet is because he wanted to see if Kawhi is going back to the Raptors, so they can still play together.

In what scenario does he go to the mavs? In the scenario they offer him the most money. If clips and lakers sign one of kawhi and Cousins each, green probably goes to mavs. If kawhi doesn’t choose by tomorrow, he probably goes to mavs, if mavs pay a ton, he probably goes there.

Cousins is looking to be paid so I doubt he will take MLE or vet minimum. Expect Flippers to throw him a one year 20mio contract if they don't get Kawhi just to make sure we don't sign Cousins.

Of course, if Cousins decides to take MLE to go chase a ring with us, then we should all thank him for his stupidity, I mean generosity.

Lol please tell me what teams have the cap space to sign him for 20 mil....I am not even sure most teams have the MLE to work with...

 

Lakers, Clippers and Mavs have space with the LA teams the most likely. It’s a game of musical chairs, after Kawhi signs Cousins is the last high profile free agent. He has also been a top 10 or 20 player in the league. If you’ve got no one left to sign, why not take a flier on him and see what happens. He showed flashes of offense with golden state, this is a player who has done the 40/20 game a few times. I’m not saying he is going to get 20m per, but I can see someone offering him anywhere between 10-20m for a 1 year deal.

 

Only the Hawks 14 Mil Dallas 22 Mil Clippers and Lakers 32 Million have capspace.. why would you offer him anything more then the MLE from what is being reported teams are not even looking at him at the vets mins. Yet you want to offer him 10-20 million while calling it a value signing with upside. Where is the value for the team someone is only worth what teams are willing to sign him. We know Boogies worth because if he was worth 10 - 20 Million he would of signed that last year or this year. Has not happened and wont happen. If you want to take a flyer on him then you can do something like 3/30 with 3rd year a team option.. outside of that there is no upside in getting him for anything over the MLE.... The NYK who promised there fans a max guy didnt sign him.....
