    I really think a lot of FA has been called for MLE or Vet Mins for Lakers, but they're like "Hmm if you get Kawhi I'll do it."

    Another side of that is: if we dont have Kawhi then guys know we have 32m and they would ask for a bigger piece than just the minimum.

    But hey if they fit with AD Bron Kuz combo. we don't really have a choice to say no. We really hit the stage where, if we land Kawhi, our team is great, but if not, we're decent. Depth-wise. Just depth wise. We don't really know how AD Bron can rally this team

    if we end up with ONLY AD and lebron and then sign a couple good role players...it's like we're the CLIPPERS! which i'm told is AWESOME!

    so, win/win really.

    No I'm with you. As long as the guys we add at that point are good fits and not given long-term MozDeng contracts then it's still a big win.

    LeBron, AD, Kuzma, and 32m will go a long way.

    There were other vet minimum players such as Wesley Matthews and Willie Caulie Stein, I wonder why the Lakers didn’t try to get these guys.

    Instead they sit and wait for Jared Dudley?

    My point is fine, let’s wait for the Kawhi decision. But while we do that, we can start filling out the roster with guys willing to take the minimum

    Who says they didn’t though? Those guys have to actually accept the Lakers money even if they offer it. Some guys seem to be choosing playing time/larger roles over the same money elsewhere.
