    As is, Harkless's 11m cuts into the clips 41m available cap to bring it to 30m.

    Unless more is added to the deal, is this the clips surrendering on Kawhi pursuit?

    They can gain that cap space back though by stretch-waiving Harkless or Gallo.

    @KeithSmithNBA tweet while ago said LAC have $43 mill left in space. Moe makes $11 mill so now the Clips just have enough to sign Kawhi at $32 million. Not a bad trade for them b/c Moe is expiring and they got a future 1st round pick in return.

    If this is accurate, absorbing Harkless takes them down to 32. Pretty sure they still have a full max or at least as close to a full max as the Lakers have.

    Holdup around KCP is two fold. I'm being told that if the Lakers fail to sign Kawhi, he would like a contract similar to what he had this past year. If they do get Kawhi, he would like the room exception. Klutch may have some difficulty negotiating with the Lakers if cap space is limited, as I understand none of their clients who are interested in the Lakers are keen on taking the veteran's minimum.

    I love this. When we sign Kawhi for probably the greatest 3 deep front line in history ..... the Clippers and Clipper Nation should forget about Inglewood and just move to Seattle. Not that they won't win decently when West gets through with them but the big gamble blowing it all up has not yielded the home run that Jenkins and Woj and media have been trying to orchestrate. F*** em very much. Thank god that era is over with Lakers getting beaten by them routinely during this horrid stretch. Starting with "Basketball Reasons".

    If it's Bev's bird right caphold of 11m, it's 30m on my count. If it's his new 3yr 40m deal amount then it's about 29m in cap space.

    That all could change if there is a bit more to the trade tho.

    The Claps are putting together a very decent squad adding to what they had last year. This team as constructed is more attractive then last years squad and I'm worried it's going to be appealing because well...it is. Claps have done well to position themselves better for their meeting with the klaw. When Butler came off the board they looked for other ways to improve without spending his max slot.

    Just sayin, let's keep our eyes open cuz this could go south in a hurry
