That "team" that offered it tho haha

Btw, he probably cut after year 2 anyways.

    But it's obvious, dude wasn't a max guy in last summer's market place. I wasn't hating...just forecasting.

I mean, just like the Dipo injury got DLo an allstar bid, KD's injury got Jules that Knicks bag... ironically it also got DLo his max as well via S&t haha.

I personally would not max any of those 2 out. BI is the only LA kiddie I would do it for tho.

Julius cashed in tho... that's what he wanted all along. You said Mintz lost him money but it wasn't such a bad plan was it? I'm just glad everything worked out for him.

I just want to point out that no other free agent signing today got a little mini bio and congrats from Woj today, or a retweet as far as I can tell

I picture the bag of money Balmer gave Woj looking like one of those Beverly posted.

If the Lakers get Kawhi and they have to pick Seth Curry or Danny Green for the exception I hope to god they pick Danny.
I know they like Seth because he's a Curry but Green is a seasoned champion player.

I would be happy with either, but I think the Lakers like Seth because he’s a point guard (which we lack currently) and because he shot %45 from 3 last season, one of the best in the league. I would be good with Green too, but he had a pretty awful playoffs offensively, and he’s also 32 to Seth’s 28.

went to sleep and missed that dlo went to gs.

wow. that's a pretty great save for them. weird long-term fit with klay and steph, but getting that level of value back for a FA that could have just walked is huge.

The warriors have done a great job with Steph. His defensive metrics are solid to good. Russ made great strides, and he was an average defender this year. It’s not as bad as you might think.

I agree on Russ, but didn’t Curry ask to be switched off VanVleet because he was getting killed by him? He is not a defender at all from what I’ve seen, they all cover for him or hide him. Add to that he’s coming off 5 straight NBA Finals and I think exhaustion or at the very least fatigue can also be used as a valid excuse for calling him a weak defender.

    Potential matchup...

    Seth - Steph
    Kawhi - Dlo
    Lebron - Klay
    AD - Draymond

    We'd straight kill them.

The eye test from the few times I’ve watched D’Lo told me the same thing. Interesting to hear you back that up

Although that team looks excellent on paper. It’s going to be 2020 next year when the playoffs roll around and I have some legitimate worries.

We all know Rondo is pretty washed up, as is Melo, Korver and Iguodala. We don’t have a center on the team, Kuz can’t play the 5, and AD seems to get beat up playing center for too long. Add in load management for our 3 stars and I see us as a 55 win team that could win it all if our big 3 are healthy or be a second round exit if they aren’t.

Edit: in saying that, I’d take it 10/10 times and hope we can add curry to the above.

I remember the whole thing now haha! Glad to see him fulfilling some of his potential so far. I still am fond of all the young lakers we had drafted in their own ways.

We're a Woj bomb away from Anthony Davis being our third best player. After that, watch the additions flood in.

Do it soon. I need to sleep.
