In other news: We all know Deknight has been begging to make Punisher happen via movie or series on Netflix. Well now Tom Hardy wants to be the Punisher. Um yes please. Fiege make it happen. http://comicbook.com/2015/05/05/tom-hardy-wants-to-play-the-punisher/
You're right, but I think we're moving past that point now. I think as long as it makes sense, audiences will respond to it just fine. My wife and I are a mixed race couple and we get some issues, but most of the time people don't care. The problem I think is when I see what you described: oh the husband is black so he must act this way and the wife is Asian so she must act like this! Well why can't they just be people who act like normal people? I think that'd be fine. I can't wait for Luke Cage and Jessica Jones. I don't think we'll see the race side as much in Jessica Jones, but we'll definitely see it in Luke Cage. His race is an enormous factor in his life. There's great room there for development along those lines.
<- white man, black wife In real life Chris Evans is just as tall as Thor, Helmsworth. Camera tricks fix that. They could make him taller. Its the black luke cage and white Jessica Jones being in a relationship that is different. Has there ever been a series or movie this big with a mixed couple at its core?
Tom Hardy as the Punisher?! Where do I sign up? As long as they get a decent writer and director who won't make it family friendly (need Deadpool to succeed for that argument to get through to the studio), that's a surefire awesome franchise.
Not that I can think of honestly but... I'm also not great at remembering things like this. I know there's angles to be played and all that, I was just surprised he was that short. He looked almost a foot taller as Bane. Great work by Nolan I suppose. I like Hardy a lot and I think he could kill as Punisher... Heh... See what I did there?... .................................. okay bye.

Yeah I saw that. I wonder what his role will be. He's a little too big for a bit role, but he's not really the superhero type who could carry a movie either. Some government position maybe?
He'd be a hilarious Wong, but I'd rather see a snarky Asian person as Wong... Ooooooh... He'd make a super interesting Baron Mordo.
I'm hoping he winds up as some shield agent that is attached to some of the more mystic side of the MCU
I dig that. SHIELD liaison to the mystical arts connecting him to Scarlet Witch and Dr. Strange. Noice.
Damn that'd be a hell of a grab if he was the next Coulson type of SHIELD cat who can move between mediums... Oh man that'd be an awesome idea. Nicely done. Watch him interact with Wanda and Dr. Strange then have him pop up in Iron Fist and I suppose Daredevil too.
Here's the entire announced cast of Captain America: Civil War. Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Winter Soldier, Falcon, Ant-Man, Vision, Scarlet Witch, War Machine, Black Panther, Sharon Carter, Baron Zemo, Crossbones, Maria Hill, Nick Fury, an unannounced role for Martin Freeman, and of course Spider-Man will be in it too. WHAT THE STAN LEE IS GOING ON HERE. This movie is going to have almost every character in the MCU thus far and several new ones as well. The only major heroes missing are Thor (+ affiliates) and Hulk. That's bananas. This movie is going to absolutely rule. I think it'll be better than Avengers 2 honestly, especially with the Russos at the helm.
That is one hell of a lineup and a lot to juggle. I honestly would not be mad if it was a 3 hour long movie. I was already excited for Civil War right after Age of Ultron, this makes me even more excited.
This is a crazy amount of people to try to juggle. I'm not sure it's going to work, but I'm super excited to see them try it... We're a year away from seeing Black Panther on screen! AND Spider-Man officially home! Oh MAN.
Finally watched Age of Ultron. It was a good movie. Very entertaining. But honestly, I was still disappointed and I think I'm getting bored with the MCU. It's just a personal preference. I prefer superhero fiction that tends to be more grounded in reality, like The Dark Knight and Daredevil. Don't get me wrong, the cartoony comic book flicks with all these crazy super powers and end of the world catastrophes are fun too, but IMO, I've seen it too many times in too short of a time span.
