Yes, this. When your summer league team is full of undrafted guys and 2nd rounders and you haven’t heard of any of them, it means you either suck at drafting (which we don’t), or you’re good and your best players won’t be playing for your SL team. I never had a clue about summer league back in the the Shaq/Kobe days, I went one time to Long Beach and all I remember seeing on our team was Gump, I mostly recognized Clippers players.
I thought you’d enjoy that. He sucked even in summer league. When I was walking into the arena I saw 2 well known Clippers standing just outside with like their bags. One was LO, and I can’t remember if the other was like Maggette or Quentin Richardson, too long ago now. I just remember LO was tall as hell.
I wanna say I'm looking forward to seeing what Vogel's offense looks like, but I feel like Summer League is about teams throwing guys out there and letting them generate their own offense while the coaching staff spends all their time and effort on drilling defense. That's always the hardest thing for rookies as it is. I'll try to watch each game and take notes and post a write-up.
Damn man I'm infinitely less excited for SL with THT out. Guess I'll mostly be watching for Zion, RJ, and Michael Porter Jr. If that kid lives up to his potential the Nuggets are gonna be our top nemesis. Prolly a 10% chance of that happening, but I was high on him in the draft so selfishly I'd like him to succeed.
The best fan base in the NBA. I'm hoping he plays in Vegas though or we get a report on his stress injury when we play tonight in Sacramento
