Most of us “grew up together” on ClubLakers. ClubLakers was top dog before LakersGround. If anything LakersBall will be/is the new ClubLakers and so it’ll be a nice place to chat and express yourself in. Unless you’re a 13 year old that played a lot of NBA Live 2003 back in the day. Then you get people coming at you saying that the NBA doesn’t work by trading Smush Parker for KG straight up..... Dark, but humorous times.
Don’t worry dude. There may be 1000 members, but on any given day it feels like there’s 30 dudes on here. Also, someone started a reddit thread on @Mr Rambis. Wouldn’t be surprised if that caused the numbers to jump.
So how long has Lakersball been its own entity? I'm NYC but I'm diggin the vibes here, good stuff you got goin on. Lakersground seems a little extra/immature when I read the threads there. Even though we're immature here, seems like its the grown a** man/dad type of immature where you can actually be serious vs the insecure little boy kind.
We've been around since 2014. Mostly transplants from Club Lakers before it shut down. LB's been going strong ever since
I came over here when Scout got bought up by CBS Sports and I can't even find the forums anymore. But considering that the Lakers have been a G-League team basically for the better part of 6 years, I haven't been posting that much. That, plus the Rams moved back to L.A. and I moved my focus to football.
Lakersground is like going back to high school. Late 90's - early 00's website design. I don't mind late 90's nostalgia, but not that kind. Thank gawd for Lakersball.
