Lots of people will get overpaid this offseason. Lots of guys opting out hoping to cash in.

It will be very interesting to see who cashed in. I would not doubt for a second when the biggest stars are making 30-40 mil that a scrappy D team guy like Beverly will be valued at 10 mil by someone. We’re still paying for Deng lol.

I’m convinced guys get overpaid for potential everyday. Even flashes. So many bad contracts out there, but big money is at stake, and guys are gambling to make it happen.

If all we have left of a roster is 3 max players and Kuz, we’ll be limited to minimal risk situations.

Just wanna say that Beverley isn't really a shooter, he's a theoretical shooter. I know the numbers say he shot 40% but I know I watched that Warriors series and saw them concede a ton of open looks that he didn't wanna take. That being said, yea he's gonna get paid.

 

And on a team with AD and LBJ he'll get those open looks. Life will be easy for him. I just love the junkyard mentality. The chip on the shoulder, piss off opposing PG's type of attitude. I want guys who just want to win.

Same but i'm not going to pay him $10M for it like some are suggesting he'll get. I'll pay him $5M and nothing more...no way I'm paying him more than Lou Williams got...at most he gets $7M and even that is a stretch. If the Clippers are going to overpay to keeep Beverley, let them. I don't want to be that team that does it though
