He should have chosen us but I understand he wanted to play with Kawhi, which is the reason he should have chosen us:Fishwink:

That's how I found out about this place. Saw the setup was a lot cleaner than Lakersground and was like:

    Yep!

She honored her dad's wishes by keeping Jimmy on longer. She used the same blueprint as her father by bringing in ex-Lakers into executive positions.

But most importantly, she did keep the brand strong.

I'm rooting for her to succeed!

Right. I think more specifically, all the other teams razzled and dazzled him with their state-of-the-art analytics departments, and we had all but scorned analytics as hokum nonsense. On top of that, Mitch and Jim were supposedly terrible in the room.

Increased their revenues? Are we talking about the TV deal specidically? I'd have to research the ways she increased revenue.

Maybe I'll do that tonight, and if I am wrong, I'll admit.

On the basketball side? She has shut me up. Under her watch, we have LeBron and Davis on the roster and stuck with Rob when everybody wanted him gone.

She is still very emotional, and I worry about the people who hold influence over her.

Either way, Jeanie>Jim. No argument from me there.

Forbes cited the Lakers' lucrative television and radio deals as a reason the Lakers continue to sit near the top of the sport despite having a team that has been in the bottom rungs on the court in recent years. The Lakers' television and radio deals with Spectrum SportsNet and ESPN Radio net the franchise a cool $150 million per year, which helps explain why both those avenues seem to get special access to players, executives and owner Jeanie Buss.

Just radio and TV. Jeannie did the radio deal. I'm not sure if she did the TV deal.

If I remember correctly the TV deal was put together by Jerry as a way for the team to stay with the family after he passed away.

he could actually be a decent fit, but I wouldn't want him for the max. Also need some more speed and D in the back court.

If we're not going to get Kawhi, I'm definitely not opposed to spreading the rest out among several good players. However, that young man will get overpaid by someone this year. Market conditions and all.

    1. He's not worth the max
    2. We already witnessed what happened with/for him in the "LA circus"

Would be a disaster imo , unfortunately the FO is that dumb.

I agree with spreading the rest of the cap among good players

with some maturing and engaged leadership (Not so sure Kobe was engaged when that crap went down - he was gone right?), it may turn out different.

Maybe he can't come back, but his skill set is an intriguing fit for sure.

I'm not sure how you see his skill set as a good fit. He is very high usage PG who struggles on D. On offense the ball is going to be in LeBron's hands which would regulate DLo to a spot up shooter. Danny Green would be muuuuch better for that purpose and muuuuch cheaper and plays D.

DLO was successfully getting in the paint on crafty drives, and that’s becoming more and more difficult for an aging Lebron. He’s a good outside shooter, but also a good passer.

Obviously the usage would go down, and that’s not a role he’s played, but his ability to get to the basket, shoot, and pass are intriguing.

    His defense isn’t though. True.

But if you have to Frankenstein a team, you could do worse. Danny Green is SG, and DLO is a PG.

This is not an endorsement for DLO, but I’m not excited to see a roster full of scrubs after big game hunting is over either.

Of course Danny Green is a SG. Your point? LeBron IS the defacto PG for this team for as long as he is on it. What we need are guys that can consistently hit the three and play some D. That's why I mentioned Danny Green as a cheaper, better signing to play off of LeBron and AD.

Should he be as he ages?
    Could DLO adjust his game?
Why are you being so mean and aggressive in your post to me?
I’m young and easily broken. Negativity hurts. It cuts deep. Plz stop.
    Why not get both?

    It’s all hypothetical anyways.

They are referencing Mr. Rambis in ESPN radio on the George Sadano show. Not by name of course.

Same here. I’m hoping there’s better discussion here compared to /r/Lakers.
