not entirely but i find it odd that rambis has been a decision maker in every thing in such a short period of time, dont you? thought he was just hired last yr?
Just an FYI I'll be on a monster travel schedule soon primarily in East Asia. I will try to check back in before I fly out but you will likely only hear from me periodically till early July, potentially at odd hours too. This will also mean I will probably be a lot more removed from Lakers business as I'm not in the office day to day, but if you have any questions please just leave them here and I will do my best to get to as many as I can. It's looking like things on my end will calm down in early July, so hopefully I can share more targeted insights for free agency. Most of my work on the free agency side is done for now anyways. It'll be up to the Lakers and AEG to figure out how to strategically play on the business and basketball aspects depending on the audience, and hopefully make a strong case. Try to ignore the media toxicity, as we really don't know who is feeding ESPN a lot of this information. The Lakers have a promising future ahead, just the final few steps are remaining! Best Regards, Mr. Rambis
I don't think that's true at all. It's easy to say anyone can run the Lakers well financially, but it's easy to f*** up too, and Jeanie has only increased the Lakers revenue over her tenure. Rich kids f*** off their inheritance all the time, but she hasn't. It should be acknowledged that the financial side is her strength and she does it well. I just wish there was someone like Jerry Buss that was great financially and with basketball decisions in the FO... but there isn't
Hmm... @therealdeal has been gone for awhile, @Mr. Rambis shows up. Now real comes back and Rambis leaves... Reals secretly been working closely with the team and couldn’t say much. Teehee.
Why not toss another question into the mix. We've heard a lot in passing about the LaMarcus Aldridge presentation a few years back and the Lakers basically asking for a do over. Can you shed any insight on why it was bad?
I’m sure it’s great for the site to get more traffic and I shouldn’t be saying this ... but as someone who frequents the Lakers subreddit I’m not sure if some of them migrating here is in the best interest of quality discourse on this forum. But hey, I’m sure the “nephews” as they’re called may not stick around and so if we can get even just a handful of quality new members that stay here for the long haul that would be cool.
I think everyone knew this one. The Lakers tried to sell him on Hollywood, LMA wanted to win, not a dog and pony show.
