You're kidding right? LOL. That's what KH does ..... defend or deflect in defense of a take to the death.

and saying he didnt have enough "help" to win isnt deflecting? I didn't specify winning to just championships, at least get to playoffs more consistently

So by this logic, you'd prefer K Love over AD?

I said it’s obv fine if they do it for Davis or something like that, it’s just that they are actively shopping them. Obviously nothing wrong if they get good value but I have a hunch they won’t

I think my only worry with dealing the entire young core for AD is that I have no faith in our front office to actually construct a decent roster around LeBron/AD...and at that point...giving up the kids is going to hurt us a lot more in the short AND long run.

Of course if they get LeBron, AD AND kyrie or Kawhi...then we don't have to worry about the roster construction as much (but it's still a concern)

thats all im trying to get at...if we dont sign that max guy i have no faith in rob/kurt to fill the roster correctly, at least with the max guy in toe it would alleviate the lack of support/bench players, without a max we need 1 of kuz or bi to stay so at least we have a shot at developing that 3rd guy

Yeah, my desperation for a legit 2nd max has everything to do with my lack of confidence in the FO.

We should be able to construct a 2/3 seed with the current assets, second star or not, tbh.

Yeah I agree, we aren't going anywhere if we trade most of our kids for AD. I honestly think we'd end up a 1st rd exit. If we add a second star in FA however, with the core intact, we could win a title next year. Trading for AD should be a backup plan that should be put on hold until free agency is over.

Then we won’t be so desperate to make a poor decision either.. Assuming FA goes well. I’d rather sign a max guy and filler, and give our young squad one more year.

Anything need on the trade/free agency fronts?

How did the lakers executives/aeg people respond

How are each of our max free agent chases going

Who in the young core are we least likely to keep?
