I think that adage has been put to rest 2 championships and one smush ago. Kobe has had numerous people say that he is more than willing to share the knowledge.

Loving the camaraderie. Hope Lin finds this to be a better situation than Houston and excels here!

Lin can be a solid PG is he dials down the turnovers and hits a few more open shots

Agreed. Lin was used as a scapegoat while in Houston and he had almost no support from Harden or Howard, so he'll greatly appreciate the advice and mentoring he's receiving from Kobe.

I like lin. If he works on his defense he will be a heck of a player

He can shoot and drop dimes. Off the bench along with davis and nick young (when he comes back) that is a good trio to have imo.

    Cant wait

IMHO I think Lin is a top 7 point guard, baring Curry, Westbrook, Kyrie Irving, Damion Lillard and Paul, who's really better than him. Houston didn't use him like they should. He's already proven he can create his own shots, and score in the paint. He's quick and long, and poses problems for other PG's if he places his hat on defense. I'm sorry but Patrick Beverly is not a better point guard than Lin. I think Lin suffers from prejudice that asians can't possible be better athletically than blacks. But he's a hard worker and he has true talent.

Lin has bounced around the league and played with a lot of stars/players. Kobe is the only one who has actually tried to teach him and mentor him...but according to the media, Kobe is a "bad" teammate that nobody wants to play with.

If we're not considering injury history, I'd take Rondo and Wall over Lin. Rondo is clearly a better player, a champion that elevates his game when it counts most. I'm not particularly fond of Rondo as a person, but he's a fantastic basketball player. Wall is an excellent scorer, passer and is on the upswing as a player.

Kobe is a great teammate now that he teaches the young guys how to prepare, train harder, practice, work on their X's and O's. Kobe has turned into much better leader when he started aging as they say with age comes great wisdom and knowledge.

i don't like wall, i would say a bit overrated. They consider him a top PG but i haven't really seen him lead anywhere.

His J is very mediocre, he has some shooting ability but its def not something to rely on.

I don't know if I'd put him ahead of jeremy at this point.

but Yellow Mamba in the making!!! (i always say yellow mamba, lol even call myself one. Some one said it was racists in CL, but is it if I'm Asian myself?)
